Rixos Downtown Antalya - a wonderful place to stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rixos Downtown Antalya at the beginning of January. This was our second visit to this hotel, having also stayed there in the autumn 2 years ago. The hotel is very impressive from the moment you arrive. The lobby area is very grand. Our visit this time was to celebrate an anniversary. We were given a beautiful room with stunning views of he sea and mountains - just breathtakingly beautiful. The staff had put lots of heart shaped balloons in the room and left us a bottle of wine and fruit. Such a nice surprise. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean; and the beds are enormous. The cleaning lady came in each day and kept things looking lovely. The food was good; lots of choice, but maybe not quite as good as we found it to be 2 years earlier. We certainly didn't go hungry. The bars were well stocked and served great drinks throughout our stay. We enjoyed using the free bike the hotels has for loan and cycled along the dedicated cycle path along the Konyaalti beach front almost every day of our stay (about a 14 km round trip). We didn't venture on the open roads. We also used the well equipped gym and attended some of the fitness classes. The hotel doesn't have an indoor pool, but one of the outdoor pools is heated and it was a pleasure to swim in it before breakfast, when it was quiet. The hotel has it's own Starbucks at the poolside and it was nice being able to get a hot drink after getting out of the pool. The weather in during our stay in January certainly wasn't hot, in fact, most of the time there was a cold North wind blowing and it felt positively chilly. There were some rainy/stormy times, but also some pleasant sunshine. One afternoon, I even sat out for a few minutes in my shorts with my shirt off on the balcony, where there was some shelter from the wind. Don't expect to get a great sun tan here in the winter though. We took a day trip to The Land of the Legends on one day. This comes free with the hotel stay. Unfortunately, most of the rides in the theme park itself were closed, but we did enjoy seeing the dolphins. The large retail park there was very classy so if you're looking for designer gear, you may enjoy the shopping experience. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at Rixos Downtown Antalya. The staff were all polite and helpful. They appreciated being given the odd tip and some would certainly be more attentive afterwards. There were one or two staff members who appeared to be a little too interested in scrolling on their phones, which I found disappointing, but the majority were great. We love this hotel. We preferred staying in the warmer weather of the autumn, rather than this winter visit, but what ever time of year you stay, it is a lovely place to be.

I have to admit that this is the longest I have ever stayed at a hotel at three weeks while getting medical work completed. It is always stressful and uncomfortable in a hotel especially when one is compromised. However, Rixos lived up to it's expectation. They made things as comfortable as can be and always were professionals in a clean and beautiful hotel. I have to say that there were three employees who made it especially enjoyable. They ranged from the front desk, to the buffet, to our room. First off, Mehmet was our server in the buffet adult section. He was incredibly friendly and professional and we always looked forward to our interactions with him. Helmi at front desk was always super interesting, helpful, knowledgeable, and spoke great english. If you need a tip about the town or things to do go to him. Lastly, Arbelle (probably misspelled) was our room cleaner on the 8th floor. She was very friendly and spoke great english.She always left the room in good order. Really, the management needs to move her to a customer service position because she has incredible potential. Overall a great hotel but the really key to there incredible service was the wonderful interactions with the staff. We will be back!

I’ve been to this hotel for 3 nights. It’s beautiful and big with great facilities but the most terrible thing is cats everywhere! Even in restaurant inside the hotel on the table on the chairs everywhere!!!terrible!The worst thing is that a big cat jumped on me while I was eating breakfast on the second day and I almost fainted of fear I cried a lot because I was scared to death. I had to get four doses of the rabies vaccine after that. Terrible experience!my trip was ruined completely. The worst point is that they don’t care about this thing and justify we can’t scape them away!! I Never ever come back there.

First of all We came to the hotel to celebrate our anniversary and we booked for 4 days But we were very disappointed with the experience As when we arrived to the room they put for us literally two apples and one orange juice and some balloons on the bed .. i mean we have been to other 5stars hotels to celebrate before but our experience and expectations didn’t meet at all …. The room itself we booked a king bed but what we had was two single beds that were joined together It was very uncomfortable for us during our stay The mirrors were all dirty and full of finger prints and the bathroom was not cleaned properly… When it comes to food it was sooo basic and boring As during our 4 days stay EVERYDAY the food was the exact same thing nothing special dinner and lunch are the same menu And even during snack time between lunch and dinner it was the remaining food from breakfast with some boring sandwiches… The hotel has couple of la cart restaurants which you are only allowed to visit ONCE for free if you are staying for 5 nights and more or if you want to make a reservation you pay 75€ for person!!!!! I don’t usually write reviews tbh but this time i was very disappointed and would never come back again ..
