The Land of Legends Kingdom 5 yıldız

We booked with EasyJet Holidays via Travel By Inspire. We went from 9th April for a week, as it was significantly cheaper than later weeks. We took 2 kids, aged 9 and 7. We stayed at the Land of Legends Kingdom hotel, and we were very impressed from the word go. The hotel is so well set up for families. The rooms were great and styled in such a fun way. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general was just excellent. Our only complaint was that the aircon for the whole hotel was turned off for 5 out of the 7 days we stayed. Many guests asked about this to be simply told “it is off. It will be on when it’s on”. Some nights were particularly warm and uncomfortable. I think everyone who stays at the Kingdom Hotel is all-inclusive, and there was much more included that we expected – arcade games, juice bar, all-night pub, and the buffet ,as well as unlimited entry to both parks. Also included in the parks are soft drinks, water, and standard ice cream. The kids club in the hotel was great, and our daughter did the pottery making class which was all free. We were amazed by the buffet. So much choice and variety, with local food as well as things you might consider more European like pizza and chips. Lots of healthy options too with endless salads and fruit, and chicken and fish straight off the grill. The theme park was great fun, with the standout rides for us being the “big white one”, the “big blue one”, and the “squirty boats”. I can’t remember their proper names but if you go, you’ll understand. We were a little disappointed to find that with it being early in the season some of the rides weren’t open yet, but all the standout ones were. On the other hand, being early in the season meant the queues were short and we rarely had to queue more than a couple of minutes for any ride. The water park is fabulous too, but again, early in the season some rides or areas were not open. Neither was the only place to eat on the all-inclusive deal, called Mungo, a large restaurant in the waterpark side. This meant we had to either plan to come out of the parks at lunch time, then go back in, or bring food in with us. The latter option turned out to be a problem, with a particularly unhelpful security guard searching our bags and confiscating any food she found. The only English she spoke was the word “problem”, so we were left with no idea what we’d done wrong, and no snacks. That brings me on to the other issue we had, which was the price of things. Since we weren’t allowed to bring food into the parks, we occasionally chose to buy snacks. You have to pay in the parks with wrist bands, which you have to load up at reception or at cash points. The minimum you could load on was 2500 Lira, which on our trip was about £50. That £50 bought us 2 slushy drinks, 1 family sized bag of Doritos, and 2 tubes of local equivalent Pringles. The Slushy was 750 Lira, which is £15! Turkey is a much cheaper economy that the UK, but we expected prices to be inflated in a tourist destination, so if they’d been about the same as home, we’d have felt it about right. I reckon those 5 items are worth about £20 in the UK, making it 2.5x more expensive than we felt it should be. To make matters a little more difficult, the prices of most items at the snack shops are not clearly displayed, or not displayed at all. We assumed prices would have been reasonable ish, so we blindly paid for things with the band, not knowing what they were actually costing, and were shocked to find after the 1st Slushy, and the 2x pringles and 1x doritos that we only had 750 Lira left, or £15. We felt that given the All-inclusive restaurant in the park wasn’t open, that it was very poor that they searched bags and confiscated snacks, then charged extortionate prices for the snacks in the park. Back on the water park, and being early in the season, the water was cold. Coupled with the wind, and occasional cloud, and lots of people were shivering. Even the heated pools in the top section of the water park were pretty cool. We had come prepared (kudos to wife for this bit) and brought wetsuit tops and shorts, just thin 1.5mm ones from Amazon. They were a godsend, and enabled us to enjoy the pools and the slides, which we did, immensely. Also included is a free bus transfer (which you need to book a day in advance) to the Rixos Premium Hotel in Belek, which has a large outdoor heated pool, and a beach. We spent 2 wonderful afternoons there, soaking up the sun, and ordering drinks from our sunbeds to have them delivered by waiters on roller skates. Surreal, but really cool. We were also impressed that Rixos laid on a buffet lunch for everyone coming from Kingdom, so you didn’t need to worry about missing lunch at the hotel. This is my second review of the place, as a member of staff collared me in the park and asked me to write a review there and then on our first day. I shouldn’t have, but I’m useless at saying no to those kind of things. I can’t say I particularly liked being press-ganged into writing a short, glowingly positive, very one-sided review. This is my more detailed, more honest version. Overall, we were hugely impressed, just a few bits we feel they could improve on. We’ve had a great holiday, and we’d recommend it for families. We may well be back.

Excellent, the hotel is amazing , theme park really good, the best service, Sergen from guest relations very good and Walter from restaurant service department very good , lovely food everything perfect , 5 stars for everything and everyone , the best ever, we will definitely come back

Amazing hotel , very nice food and a lot of choices great hotels for kids a lot of entertainment and show, theme park , water park and shopping area with a lot of nice places , staff was very friends and management was very helpfully I will definitely recommend it for my friends and family

a great hotel for family, we were there for 6 nights only in hotel without going out of hotel. foods and desserts were good but not awesome, room was acceptable but a little small, I liked our view. my little son had a lot of entertainments. they had many plan for kids every day. shipping avenue and a narrow river make a special vibe. every night live music with drink. I am really satisfy with my stay.

We have just go back from The Land of Legends after 5 days staying at the hotel. It was all a bit of a shambles to be frank. Kids were running around unsupervised being rude to staff and left in the arcade area and entire basement floor completely disrespecting the equipment etc. Hardly anything in the arcade actually worked. Could never get on the PlayStations, always full, kids literally run and savage for the pods when they open. Asked if we could join the fifa tournament so my son could join in and take part but was told it had already started and wouldn't be on again for another week so that was really rubbish. So we decided to hire a game and play in the room for an hour but there were no games left behind reception!!! The milkshake bar didn't have most flavours. Just offered 2 basic flavours and they didn't make them as per the ingredients on the menu. I stood waiting to be served, placed my order and 30 minutes later we got served. The waitress served everyone but us and her excuse was because she doesn't speak English??? Language barrier is shocking. No one understood English. At one point at dinner I had to speak to 5 members of staff to order a simple drink. The buffet is so overrated. We watched loads of Tik Tok videos and it sounded incredible but it really was basic. Visited way better hotels and places with incredible food options. The food was the same most days. No options to eat anywhere else. No where in the parks just buffet breakfast, lunch and tea. Pretty rubbish for a 5 star hotel that charge incredible amounts. We had a number of complaints that were raised with management. They assured us it wouldn't happen again and they want to put it right but the failings continued over and over throughout our entire stay. We were directed to the app for show timings but they were all incorrect. Some timings were changed and some locations changed and we were never notified, even after being assured by staff. Just so many broken promises and a complete waste of our time going to watch a show and waiting 20-30 minutes with all the other crowds and then nothing there. Just terrible. Nothing worked in our room. We had to reach out to staff several times. Just uncalled for. 1 positive point out would be a huge shout out to Orhan, the waiter in the bar. He was absolutely incredible, offered the best service, fluent in English, he genuinely wanted to know us and always had time for us. He was the only person in the entire hotel and parks that bothered to show genuine care and conversation. Rixos you can use 1.30pm - 4.30pm and we took advantage most of the days. I only wish I had known about this sister hotel on day 1. Food was wayyyy better, more options, unlimited Starbucks, unlimited Godiva Cafe (which was divine), pool area so lovely, kids not running around feral and looking after equipment in the arcade games area, had several bars and all staff understood English.
