Great location for access to Marvel Stadium and trams. Easy walk into CBD and surrounds. Managed to jag a few great eateries close by. We had a Junior Suite, very roomy and clean. View was fantastic from the Port, over the city, down the Yarra to Fitzroy Gardens. Even loved watching the traffice on the freeway. Aircon a bit hit and miss with trying to get right. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was big. Shower was hot although pressure somewhat lacking. Would love an extra towel instead of the 2 supplied. Check in took a while even though there were 3 staff members and only us waiting. It was lovely and friendly that the check in staff acknowledged us later in the day when passing the desk or even passing them when walking to the lifts. Our plane was ultimately delayed by 9 hours and as this changed a few times I did twice email the Novotel to keep them updated and let them know we were still going to be checking in, albeit a bit late. Unfortunately I did not receive a reply or acknowledgement, and so just had to hope that all was still good with our booking. Was disappointing that the offer of 'newspaper in room daily' wasnt kept. Yes, it was only the paper (but always look forward to reading the Melbourne newspaper when visiting) and I just wish that an inclusion in the booking, however small, when listed, is actually included. Loved the friendly concierge (sorry didnt get his name), but please let him where smart shorts when on the job as the aircon in the lobby area is so hot! It was our first time staying here but I think it may become a favourite now and will definitely stay again, especially if we get a good deal.

A good hotel adjacent to MCEC in Melbourne

While attending an International Convention in the adjacent MCEC in Melbourne my wife and I had the occasion to visit friends staying in this hotel. Rooms though smaller than normal, had all the amenities that one needs. A good hotel having very convnient location for those attending any even at MCEC

Great place for a shopping stay

We stayed for a fleeting shopping trip, and despite a bit of a blip on the radar, the staff (in particular Night Manager James and the assistant manager the next morning) made the stay so much better than it could have been. The rooms are nice, bathrooms are very clean and tidy and definitely a place to stay if you are looking for a place near the Convention Centre and DFO! It is great to see that good service is still available and that above all, is why I'd definitely go back here! Quality - 4 out of 5 Service - 5 out of 5 Location - 5 out of 5 Food - 2 out of 5 So all in all, an average of 4 stars from me.

Lage und Zimmer des Hotels sehr schön. Auswahl beim Frühstück leider begrenzt. Kaffee aus Automat sehr schlecht, für guten Kaffee muss extra gezahlt werden, da erwarte ich bei diesem Preisniveau mehr. Frühstücksraum ist zu Stoßzeiten zu klein ausgelegt und die Tischzuweisung etwas chaotisch.
