Novotel Surfers Paradise is undergoing an exterior building upgrade, including painting and other improvements.
While these upgrades are underway, the pool will be closed on weekdays until 4 pm but available for guest use from 4 pm to 10 pm. On weekends, school holidays, and from 29th March to 28th April, the pool will remain open all day. Alternative pool options are also available nearby.
Minimal noise may occur, but we're committed to keeping it as low as possible. Thank you for your understanding

Limited house keeping service. No service minded. Public carpark not hotel car park.

I am staying for 5 nights at Novotel Surfers paradise in room 1406. This is our 3rd night and I only get one time room clean. I put sign everyday and 1st night been missed. I told reception when gets back to the room at 17.30. He said it's too late. I said at least provide me new towels and empty bin and remove old towns. And I need new coffee cup and milk. He put new towels in my room and take away cups and milk. Still left 2 dirty mugs, that had only one spoon from the beginning. Then, next day 18th April, I told reception request room service I left the room since 9.30 am, back to the room at 13.30. Came back still look the same. Called reception. They said start cleaning the room at 2pm. The young lady came after 2pm asking if I need new towels and anything. I said I need the room make and give me 5 mins we about to leave. She is standing in front of the door with attitude. No smile with earmuffs on. When I about to leave I said may you change new coffee cups. It is dirty (as I watch with hand soap to reuse for 2 nights. I need a proper wash).She took her earmuffs off and she question me something and I asked her back. Do I need to clean my own coffee cups? No refill more coffee sachets. Today, I put sign on since 9am need room clean. Now 15.11 still has noone attend my room. Regarding car park, we paid for 5 nights via hotel but no parking available in designated hotel area. When I called staff from car park that no space available for us in hotel area. Staff response back it is a public parking. You have to find your own space. You buy only parking hours not space. So we cannot lock any parking for you. We have to park quite far and carry stuffs plus taking 2 kids walk from other side of the biulding back to tge hotel. Still have 2 mote night to stay before moving to the new hotel. It is bad experience for our Easter Holidays.

Dirty, noisy and worn

Dirty, noisy and worn would sum up our feelings on the novotel. The Novotel in both Melbourne and Sydney offer clean family rooms with good soundproofing, this isn't what you get at surfers paradise. Buffet room feels depressing, balcony door didn't seal tight enough to block out sounds from outside, dirty towels, grubby worn bathroom, outdated areas that needed a good clean and lifts that took forever to arrive. The upside was that the staff were friendly and were doing their jobs well but the whole place needs a makeover. It is a great location to access restaurants, market, beach etc but sadly I couldn't recommend anyone stay here.

Hotel Review: Novotel Surfers Paradise We recently stayed at Novotel Surfers Paradise and had a fantastic experience overall. Check-in was quick and efficient, with all our inclusions clearly explained and provided without any fuss – a great way to start the stay. Our family room was lovely, clean, and well-appointed with stunning views overlooking Surfers Paradise beach – waking up to that view was definitely a highlight. One small suggestion would be to add caster cups to the single beds in the family room, as they tended to slide around a bit. We had to use the heavy chairs from the adjacent room to help stop them moving, which worked but wasn’t ideal. Breakfast was a real treat, with all the usual yummy items you’d expect – fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, and plenty of options for everyone in the family. The pool area is still looking great and was a nice spot to relax. The only slight disappointment was that the spa wasn’t working during our visit, but it didn’t take away too much from the overall enjoyment. All in all, a lovely stay in a great location. We’d happily come back!

In short, we loved the location for our three night stay.. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a well appointed king room with ocean view on 20 th floor. The rate was amazing. We didn’t have breakfast and the restaurant is not open for dinner. ( Tgerd are many eateries just out the door) The foyer cafe / bar served food and drinks . Yes it is an older building, however everything worked and was clean. Three and a half stars from us because the restaurant is not open for dinner.

I stayed here for 4 nights, and was on floor 18 and found the room modern and very comfortable. Great city and semi sea view on the balcony. I did think the shower pressure could have been better, but I feel that's standard for most hotels. Very comfortable bed and pillows. A GREAT location right next door to the Paradise Centre mall, very close to a Woolworths store that is just downstairs, and other eateries and shops on Cavill Avenue etc. Buffet Breakfast was excellent, especially the omelettes. Lots of selection of your stand hot full English/Aussie style breakfast fare, plus cereal, toast, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. My *one* complaint was when trying to ring for room service /several/ times on Tuesday night; the line was always busy, then kept ringing, and then finally when it got answered I got someone who was having a full on aggressive conversation with someone else in the background and hung up. So I went to the mall for food instead. I found the bar staff at BLVD quite prickly at times when I was redeeming my drink vouchers. Like they were constantly on edge and ready for combat, despite me being nothing but friendly = which wasn't a good look or feel. So I feel like the BLVD food and drinks section in particular requires a lot of work in comparison to the rest of the hotel. The elevators could be a little long to come, but again I feel that's standard with most Hotels and you just have to take that into consideration and not expect to get down to say breakfast in an instant with 36 floors and 408 rooms all vying for 4 lifts. Even on the 18th floor I could hear the general noise of the city, but again I felt this was standard and expected with the location being right in the heart of Cavill Mall and Surfers, which is kind of the reason you choose this spot, so the rowdiness of the area is to be expected, but wasn't so much so that it stopped me from sleeping or anything. All in all I would recommend the Hotel and would definitely come here again, just be realistic with your own expectations with regards to the location and amenities, and give BLVD a miss.
