A hotel that refused to admit a family that had booked in advance— because they were from Israel!!! Says a lot

We were hoping to book this Parisian hotel. But after reading in the press about their awful treatment of a family from Israel — refused rooms they had booked because of their nationality! We decided to go elsewhere. Imagine an exhausted family of foreign travelers blocked from occupying rooms they had legally paid for because of their country of origin!! Incroyable.

Will be our go to Paris hotel

Sometimes the hotels in central Paris are incredibly expensive and the rooms very small. So we decided to look a little further out, not too far mind and with a metro link in short walking distance. We found this Novotel, next to the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (so great for the Olympics) and we could book a suite for a little more than a small double in the Center. Wow it was a great choice. The hotel is spacious, clean, and well staffed. Every staff member we have met has been so incredibly helpful. We were staying on the fourth floor (room 402) and have a view of the Eiffel Tower from our suite window… it is such a lovely comfy space we wanted to spend as much time in it as possible! The neighbourhood is also not too busy but still with plenty of good restaurants and bars in a short distance. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again.

Compliments to Barth for his service, kindness & helpfulness throughout the stay. Incredibly comfortable room with outstanding views. Compliments to the rest of the staff at the hotel. Would highly recommend staying at the Novotel to anyone staying in Paris

Breakfast is decent with fruits, coffee, croissants and cheese. The view from the rooftop of the skyline is nice. But the hotel rooms were not ready at check in. We had a 2pm check in and we arrived at 9:30 am our room was not ready until 3pm. My husband arrived the next day with our son and I paid for the room for the day prior and he was not able to get into our 2nd room.Then when they did the other room it’s on a different floor than ours. So I go back to the front desk because I paid for 3 beds and a room near us on the same floor. I’m a bit frustrated but they finally fixed it and gave us a room on the same floor.

Well located hotel with spacious rooms and good breakfast - if you can get it!

Stayed at the hotel for three nights when at a nearby conference. It was locationally perfect for this. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast buffet has a great selection. My only grumbles were that you often have to queue for breakfast and one day it was too long for me to wait meaning I lost out on a €20.5 breakfast and had to buy something elsewhere. My room was also a little warm and dry but I often find this!
