Great hotel in Jakarta, next to the biggest sport arena in town. Breakfast, gym facility were perfect.

A good choice in central Jakarta

This is a nice hotel with convenient access to Plaza Senayan. The property also features a residential tower for long-stay guests, many of Japanese expatriates. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel has direct access to two major malls: Plaza Senayan, which is older but more luxurious, and Senayan City, which is more modern and popular among younger visitors. Overall, everything guests may need can be easily found in this area, making it an interesting option for short stays in Jakarta, whether for business or leisure. As an Accor Platinum member, we were upgraded to a spacious room in the residence tower. The complimentary breakfast met expectations. However, Gold Lounge access was not included for Platinum members when staying in the residence tower, even with an upgrade. A good choice in Central Jakarta. However, Gold Lounge access was not included for Platinum members when staying in the residence tower. Complimentary drinks at K22 with a nice view of Jakarta were offered instead. Anyway, I clearly stated in my booking that the stay was to celebrate my husband’s birthday, there was no special arrangement in the room—no welcome amenities or even a simple fruit plate, which is usually offered to Platinum members at other properties. For welcome drinks, as we do not consume any alcohol, we chose to enjoy them at Peacock Lounge. The service there was excellent, with a nice selection of teas, although the dessert choices were quite limited. Special thanks to Mr. Dicky for the smooth and efficient check-in process, as well as to the Peacock Lounge staff for their warm and attentive service.

An Average Stay

My experience at the Fairmont Jarkata was Average. The hotel itself was lovely and our room, which was a suit was beautiful, clean and spacious. My only criticism -of the room was that it was a little bit noisy and motorbikes were heard from the room. The staff on the whole were lovely, particularly Fetty Ningtyas who was extremely helpful in check in and providing information. However at Breakfast we were turned away from the primary buffet to a secondary one due to availability and were told that they were very similar. The two buffets were most definitely not similar. The primary buffet (located on floor 2) is much larger and overall better for example the first buffet has 3 variety’s of cheese versus one, sushi, more salads, noodle and poke bowl bar. If you get breakfast included as we did, be prepared for the Maitre D outside to try and turn you away to the smaller one upstairs. The pool is rather boring and small but the pool staff are most friendly and very nice. As Platinum members we were disappointed by not being let into the Gold Club as it is only for diamond members. The roof top bar has very slow service and is rather mediocre
