Great hotel and staff. Dawood and Majid in concierge were very helpful, genuine and I pray they are promoted. They were attentive and made the stay so much better.

Unhelpful and rude reception staff

We booked 4 rooms for a family months ago. I checked in at 4am as we had a booking for the night of 19/11. My family, my daughter, her husband and 3 children were booked from 20/11. I had specifically requested the agent to request their rooms to be if not next to each other but on the same floor, When I check in, i showed the Reception the hotel voucher and I asked reception to please allocate them rooms on the same floor. When the family arrived, they were allocated one room on 38th floor and one on 25th floor. They have a 16 year old daughter who now was 13 floors away from her parents! I called and spoke to someone called Mina to no avail. We went to reception everyday from check in to request a room to n the same floor. Today we are checking out and not one person ever came back to us. This is my 3rd stay at Swisshotel and have always enjoyed the service and hotel as the majority of staff are excellent. From the waiters to the security we have had excellent service. I can’t say the same about the Reception staff. They are rude and extremely unhelpful. I do understand that the hotel was exceptionally busy but the level of service from them was very very poor! Each time I have stayed here I have had a problem with the reception staff and their attitude has not changed. Given how busy the hotel was it was extremely inconvenient having children on a different floor to their parents.

Excellent hotel, so close to Masjid al-Haram. Stayed in quad room which I think personally are a bit small for 4 adults. Beds were good and bathroom was clean. Think the hotel was one of the originals so needs an upgrade. Breakfast was excellent and lots of choices and was busy. I would recommend for location and breakfast. Thanks to all the team for their help and advice.
