At first, I was given a ground-floor room that walked directly out to the parking lot. I was literally staring at the hood of a car outside my window. That might be acceptable at a budget hotel, but not when paying nearly $800 per night for what is marketed as a luxury experience. When I asked to move rooms, I was charged an additional $50 per night for what was labeled as an “upgrade,” even though it simply brought the room up to what I would consider a reasonable baseline expectation for that price point. I only agreed because I was desperate to avoid spending the stay looking out over a rental car parking area. Honestly, it felt less like a luxury resort and more like being back on childhood road trips staying at roadside motels. The destination/resort fees were also extremely disappointing. I asked for the list of included amenities tied to the fee and was genuinely surprised by how much filler was included. “Fishing equipment” as part of a luxury resort destination fee? That only reinforced the feeling that these charges exist more to inflate pricing than to provide meaningful value. Overall, I came away unimpressed — and not solely because of the room situation or the resort fees. At the end of the day, this feels more like a large conference property than a true luxury destination. If someone is attending a convention or business event, it’s probably a solid option. But for a personal trip with friends or family, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

That said, we fully recognize that value is ultimately defined by each guest’s individual expectations and travel purpose. As a family-friendly resort, we offer a wide variety of room types, views, and resort experiences. For any future visit, our team would be more than happy to work closely with you in advance to help identify accommodations that may better align with the type of experience you are seeking. From the moment I arrived, I felt taken care of. The resort is spread out, but I was whisked to my room. The Gold Lounge because my favorite place to hang- the food was incredible! My room was fantastic and I appreciated the generous touch of the personal card and snack my first evening. I would highly recommend it. The only constructive feedback I can think to offer is that the notepads were a bit flimsy and the pens not as sturdy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Princess. Lots to do with kids. Many pools to enjoy. Waterslides were a hit. Not overly busy, lots of lounge chair access around the pool. Restaurants were great too

My room had some issues with cleanliness and some things not working, however once I spoke with their customer service people/front desk it was resolved within 30 mins at the most. The team is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is satisfactory. I would definitely stay there again.
