I loved the room, very spacious and cozy with all necessary amenities and attention to details (eg good bathroom lighting with extra mirrors, convenient closet, good quality slippers). Also the check in experience at the front desk was excellent on my arrival on Sunday 8 February at night (I can’t recall the name unfortunately). They heard my needs and accommodated. I was a bit disappointed by the amount of noise from the street and by the fact that the pool area wasn’t well maintained.

I was promised that the pool was heated and it was not meaning it was usable. Google Chromecast was not functioning in the entire hotel. The real problem is that when I approached the front desk for accommodation for these issues I was met with immediate hostility and pushback. A modest concession was made to make up for the issues after exhausting back and forth with the front desk who presented an immediately dismissive attitude. All of this made for an exhausting and unpleasant stay.

There were wifi issues (there was none) with the South Tower, where I stayed, and apparently only one elevator was working which made things hard. Also, the closet in my room (Room 1416) did not have a rod to hang any clothes on. It had 4 standard coat hooks screwed into the wall with hangers on those. If I had been staying there for more than one night, I would not have been able to stay in that room as there was no where to hang anything. The closet was extremely small as well. I highly suggest at least putting a small rod in the left side of the closet which is the only area one could go. The rod most likely would only be around 14" -16" long as well as that is the depth of the closet.

We were kindly greeted and received exceptional personalized care by all staff. Accommodations were updated classic style with every convenience, and the location is centralized and parking through Valet was efficient.

Great location and comfortable rooms but the wear and tear are noticeable. In room WiFi was almost never working well, with slow speeds and frequently dropped connections. Fairmont needs to invest in the property.
