This stay was for a real estate convention taking place at the hotel. We came a day early so my husband could work while I attended the convention. Overall the room was very nice. We had a bit of trouble keeping the room at a comfortable temperature. There appeared to be an issue with the elevators as it took forever to get o and from the top floor. Frustrating when you have classes and breakout sessions that begin at a specific time. Convention spaces were quite nice and the food provided was excellent.

From the moment I arrived at the Dallas Fairmont, great customer service was present. That is what made the stay. Check-in was mostly a breeze. The room was great; quiet, clean and temperature control worked as it should. I especially liked the spacious walk-in closet. The only negative was a morning elevator malfunction with two elevators out on morning one. (They were operational by lunchtime.) Checkout efficient even with lots going on at the same time.

When I first arrived, Daryl(?) from the concierge desk was very welcoming and helpful. He answered a lot of my questions, very polite and even gave me a boxed water, which was appreciated. There was a girl with glasses (sorry i didn’t get her name) at reception; she was also very polite and when I told her it was my belated bday, she offered me a suite! These things made me feel appreciated and added to the stay. I will definitely stay here in my next visit to Dallas!

I stayed at the hotel for a convention. I had thought that the Fairmont was a 5-Star Hotel, but I was sorely disappointed. Philip at concierge and front desk clerk extremely nice, but the venue itself was disappointing. The elevators were not working, seemed that only one was. You would have to wait for 4 or 5 elevators before you could squeeze on. The majority of us ended up taking the stairs to try to get to our convention on time, but that was a heck of a lot of flights considering I was on the 21st floors. I orderd a "Bee's Knees" martini at the bar, and the glass had somebody elses lipstick on it. The bartender seemed irritated that I asked for a clean glass. There were not enough glasses at the water and ice tea stations in our lunch in the exhibition room, I had to go without a drink. The sink in my room backed up in the middle of the night. It left a mess in the sink and it smelled like vomit, disgusting. Disappointed was the theme for my whole stay.

Nice and very helpful staff. Rooms have had minimal updates over the years. Bed uncomfortable and carpets shabby. Deadbolt didn’t work but three was a chain lock added. Requested refrigerator degree like crazy and door was “repaired” but I had to lift it to be sure it actually closed. Gym has a variety of equipment though out of 3 treadmills, one sounded like it would fall apart with every step, one worked fully, and one of them worked until the last day… this one tried to start but the belt wouldn’t move. A maintenance person walked in while I was there and when I told him he tested and confirmed I was correct and acted like he’d get on it. That was the day I checked out.
