The Fairmont is such a lovely hotel, and the location in the middle of Dallas makes it really convenient. It’s very clean, and there are several great spots to eat right in the hotel. What really stood out to me, though, was the staff. My best friends surprised me with a night there for my birthday, and they worked with the concierge ahead of time. Darrell and Phillip were incredible. They decorated the room, left an amazing charcuterie board for us, and even came by to wish me a happy birthday in person. When we checked out the next morning, they remembered us and sang Happy Birthday again, which was so unexpected and thoughtful. The whole experience just felt personal and genuine. I’d happily stay at the Fairmont again, and I really do think the staff makes it special compared to other places in DFW.

The hotel location is walking distance to many places. Room are nice, and decoration even do a little bit outdated , everything is comfortable. Restaurant and gift shop on site. Great hotel will be back.

First room I was given was large and lovely with a well designed bathroom and lovely view. Unfortunately there was a broken fan above the ceiling that made so much noise I couldn’t sleep and the heater didn’t work. I asked to be moved the second night. The second room was half the size, on a low floor with no view, by the elevators and very hot. The AC finally kicked in when I dropped the desired temp town to 66 degrees. So I finally got ready for bed in the small but relatively quiet room only to find a cockroach in the bathroom sink! I was too tired by that point so grabbed it with a wad of toilet paper and flushed 4 times. A group I was with ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. Most of the food was good but the service was very slow. I paid by credit card which was the only time my card was out of my view and I had fraud on my card within 24 hours. I don’t know for sure that it was a hotel restaurant employee, but am highly suspicious. We did have a lovely group breakfast at the hotel restaurant the next morning. Initially the coffee served was lukewarm, but upon being told, the server had a new pot brewed right away and the over-all food and service was very good.

I always stay here on my routine visits to Dallas for business. It is extremely convenient to access all of the restaurants I love for dinners, the breakfast at the Hotel is top notch (and great service), as is the concierge service/advice!

Location suited my needs, the room rate was within budget, and the staff was terrific. The hotel is a bit worn, but has all the amenities one needs.
