The customer service at Avista Grand is one of the best we’ve experienced. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food at all times of the day was excellent and very good quality. We especially enjoyed chard lobster & steak! My husband also loved having curry for breakfast. The hotel is in a great location, it can be busy and noisy on the main road through Karon but the hotel is set back. Our room was spacious and had great views of the sea. Thank you especially to Mr Singh & Mr Shishir for making us feel welcome!

Lovely lovely stay

We stayed for a week over Christmas so the hotel was at capacity. Despite this the staff were all wonderful and took care of us very well. The room was lovely, well maintained and cleaned every day perfectly. We had a couple of days where pool towels were not replaced in the room, but a quick call to reception and that problem was remedied promptly. We did find that in order to get a lounger at the pool, you needed to be up early and get your towel on it otherwise you were hunting. It would be useful if like at other hotels there were signs indicating that if a bed was left unattended for longer than say 30 mins the items would be removed to a safe area for collection. Portosino and Chard were both very good restaurants but pricey. There are a lot of lovely local restaurants nearby that are a third of the price. All in all a lovely stay. We would go back in a heartbeat.
