Good Hotel, Horrific Food

The hotel itself is fine. Very clean, presentable and the staff are lovely. No complaints regarding the hotel room at all - added bonus is the beds are very comfy! Unfortunately, the food offered at the VU Bar is absolutely dreadful. I think they may have the same chef that used to work in a Russian Gulag. The pizza was horrific, the ‘bruschetta’ looks like it has the chefs droppings placed on top and the ‘linguine’ was simply just spaghetti with what appeared to be a tin of curry dumped on top. I struggled to eat the food, i think that even a starving baboon that has been chased through the Okavango Delta by a pack of rabid hyenas for 19 days would struggle to eat it. Luckily, the £75 bill for the food is covered by my employer, otherwise I would have had no choice but to erupt with rage at the shocking cost of this ‘food’. I recommend going elsewhere if you are a standard human being and require sustenance.

Wedding dinner nightmare

Had our wedding there food was awful for what we paid. I never eat all day as meal in our other place was awful. Service was OK but chicken very dry and crumble awful,one spoonful custard. I was disappointed 😞 would not recommend booking there,although the service went well.

Stayed here for 1 night while attending a concert at the arena which was a pleasant 10 minute walk check in was great cheers MARTIN great job the room was comfortable we had some issues which didn’t really bother us that much but 2 could be deemed as slightly troublesome 1 the elevator situation only 2 were working so with a full hotel this caused issues getting up and down 2 the room we had was a shower over a bath there was no handrails to assist getting in and out safely 3 on vacating our room even though the door had clicked shut you could just push the door open the handle wouldn’t move but if you just pushed the door it would open I reported this to reception and they were aware this was happening and someone was going round resetting the doors??? Fair play door was reset?? I must say all the staff we came across were really friendly breakfast was very nice all items being replenished all the time we were in there would stay again

A few days stay in liverpool trip

Booked 2 night stay at the murcure Hotel in the city centre.,friendly staff on reception, thank you ZOE and team ,for looking after us and the complementary chocolate,left in our room. The room 210 a really lovely view of the Liver building, and river mersey, clean and comfortable bed . breakfast £16 pp. Dining room staff, were a great trio JAN, RIVIA,ARON think?? Do I think prices good value for money, overall Yes , but the the bottled Water and snacks pricey, Tesco just around the corner !!thank you ALL for a very enjoyable 2 days ... LOVE LIVERPOOL

This is a super hotel, it’s central to Liverpool, it’s kept clean at all times, has enthusiastic staff, excellent food and it has an evening bar area. We found nearby restaurants and shops as well as tourist walks around the dock areas. The breakfast staff are very accommodating and even made a little fuss for us as it was a wedding anniversary. The chef himself is seen often bringing specially cooked food to customers. First class, and thank you all, especially Andrew, Chef Graham, and Hammond, not to forget Zoe at reception who was so helpful and kind.
