Lovely hotel but room needed a refurb

Stayed with a friend, suite was lovely but all except the bathroom really needed a refurbishment as it is looking very tired.

Had a lovely afternoon tea at the hotel. I forgot to tell them I don’t eat butter and they swapped my sandwiches with no bother. Didn’t use the pool but might do next time we book

we have stayed here during our Xmas period as part of a big family group and taken part on the Xmas lunch carvery, great atmosphere, attentive staff and great food

Together with my family had an afternoon tea. The food was lovely ( I had the gluten free version) and everyone was so pleased with everything. The service was amazing and staff knowledgeable. I’d definitely go again.

Fine but probably seen better days

This hotel looks like it's seen better days however it was fairly good value for the price. Our bathroom sink was falling apart, with a view down the drain, more than one of the clean towels were stained and the sofa upholstery was threadbare in parts. The beds were clean and comfy and it so it did the job, as we were out all day. We never really saw any staff for the 3 days we were there, apart from a slightly unenthusiastic receptionist at check in. Couldn't find a menu for the food anywhere in the room or online so never dined. Probably wouldn't go back unless it had been updated a bit.
