Budget Hotel, it is what it is.

We stayed here for 2 nights for the Manchester marathon. This hotel was the perfect location for the marathon event village and start/finish line however it is very "budget." The room we stayed in was very small, with a toilet, sink and shower all in the one room. Prison cell vibes. Only one set of plug sockets in the corner of the room, no plugs by the bed and no amenities like a kettle, hairdryer etc. We were up on the 7th floor and each night in the early hours of the morning there was so much noise from lorries, bins being emptied and the bed in the room was very hard and firm, therefore we never had a good night's sleep. Like I said a great location, walking distance to the marathon event village, start/finish, tram stops but very, very budget.

Nothing fancy - Great for those needing a budget place to stay.

If you properly read the instructions you’ll have a great experience. The location of the hotel is great for getting the tram into central Manchester. They have a car park which is £10 for 24 hours… you can request more pillows, towels, toilet rolls etc. from reception at no extra cost. You do have to put a deposit down for a kettle and be aware that all you get for that is the kettle so you’ll need to bring your own tea making facilities with you if you want a brew. The bed was comfortable and the room is space saving but there was room for everything you needed out for a couple of nights away.i.e. There was a shelf for your toiletries under the sink. There was room to hang your clothes and jackets and store your suitcase. You could use the stool for the desk as a laundry basket if you wished. The blind was built into the window so it could stay open and you still have privacy. Overall I thought the room was well thought out and considering we didn’t spend much time in there it was nice it didn’t cost the earth like other hotels.

They are refusing to give me back my deposit for a kettle and have been completely unhelpful Staff do not seem interested in the customers at all At check out time there was a long queue of people and the person at the desk was just sat in the back room on their phone

it was okay. not the best hotel. bed was as hard as a rock, only gave us 1 pillow each, not sure why the bathroom is in 3 separate rooms 🤷‍♀️, window didn’t even open properly, could hear the trams super super loud so didn’t get a lot of sleep. ac didn’t work at all, it was letting in hot air instead of cold. housekeepers spilt pepsi all over my partners clothes and never informed us of this happening. housekeepers didn’t bother to take our rubbish, just tidied up the bed and that was it. never gave us fresh towels either. won’t be coming back to this hotel. £98 for 2 nights isn’t bad, but you should really get more for what it is. couldn’t even have a cuppa in the morning cause there was no kettle 🙄, receptionists were nice, but housekeepers could have told us or left a note saying that they spilt pepsi all over my partners clothes 🙃🤷‍♀️

Staff were friendly on arrival and helpful with information about parking. Room was basic (as expected with a budget hotel) but clean and comfortable. Great location for jumping on the Metrolink Tram. If needed there were drinks and snacks available to purchase by reception, there is also a petrol station next door if you need to grab any snacks etc
