Disappointing

Have stayed here before, but this time time really noticed the decline in condition of the hotel. Rooms need refurbishing, and bedding replaced so more comfortable. Mattresses really uncomfortable. Understand staffing shortages causing issues at the moment, so try to be accepting of slow service, but 15 - 20 minute wait for breakfast buffet to be replenished, only then to have three people take a majority of what was put out, is disappointing. Drink vouchers also couldn’t be used as restaurant wasn’t open in evenings.

You get what you pay for I decided... :(

Pros: central, lovely meal at Staten restaurant, and the cost to stay was great value for money ($114 as an Accor member), staff friendly. Cons: single glazing, so room was super noisy from street (room 501) bins got emptied in middle of night, people singing and shouting during night etc. Bed was not the Novotel quality I am used to. TV channels just stupid frankly, nothing made any sense there. Also, it's very tired, needs a refurb, bits missing from taps, decor dated etc. Parking tricky on street and expensive $5 an hour, (free overnight 8pm - 8am only) their carpark was full (my fault I did not book).

A very dated interior with a gloom that is not in line with the Accor Group. Even the pillow cases and other trimmings are black the bathroom is so dated too. there is no inviting allure even in the foyer. I cannot describe any other rooms I did not se and yet being a loyal customer this was the gloomiest hotel ever stayed.

Temporary dinning room could have been made more homely. For example tables set rather than completely bare, even if they are not used. It is also more welcoming that way. . We also had to get our own cutlery and napkins once we had chosen a table.

Excellent place inn the centre of town.

Always a good place for a couple of nights stay. As a solo traveler, with no vehicle, the hotel has a good situation in the city. Walking distance to all the forms of transport is easy. There is also a taxi stand opposite, for convenience. Only complaint, is the TV reception could be better.
