ibis Styles Toulouse Centre Capitole 3 estrelas

This is a lovely hotel in a great location directly in the capitol square. It is spotlessly clean and friendly staff. It has a lovely courtyard which sadly we couldn’t use due to the rain. The breakfast is great - good selection of all breakfast fayre. My only small criticism is no tea or coffee making facilities in room but that’s a minor thing. Would definitely recommend.

We found of the staff were friendly and helpful.. The hotel is clean and tidy. Our room on the second floor, overlooking the inner courtyard was large and very quiet. Breakfast was well stocked with fruit, pastries, cold meat and cheeses. Plus you could boil you own egg (just remember to time it). A bonus in this hotel was the location in the city centre and the coffee station which was available all day. The bar area was pleasant to meeting up with friends too.

This hotel was so central to the historic and sightseeing area of Toulouse. We also took a day tour to the medieval fortress town of Carcassonne from here, which was a truly memorable day. The hotel has been renovated in a modern and very comfortable manner.The breakfast was excellent. There is a lovely courtyard with a bar service to relax during the day or evening. You could meet friends there to relax. 15/20 minute walking distance to train station. We also took a short boat tour along the Canal du Midi which was lovely. The hotel is in the middle of a vibrant dining district.

Yes the hotel has a great location but many other hotels are close-by. As part of our criterias to chose a hotel in the summer months is the availability of Air Conditioned rooms. Which the hotel said they offered. What they failed to mention was that it would not go cooler than 76 F (24C). To be clear, during the day we are out and about and dont need AC but to sleep, we like for the room to be cooled down by a few more degrees than 76/24 (and to be frank, the AC being off all day, it took a while before it even hit that if it did.) Instead of writing a public review, we wrote directly to Ibis Group suggesting they specify on their listings that they have this limit only to receive a very rude answer from the hotel manager. So very disappointed on the AC and management's answer to our email.

If not for one incident, I'd give this hotel a fine mark. But please listen: On the day we left, an extremely hot July afternoon, we asked the man at the desk if we needed a cab to get to the train station. "No, it's just a ten minute walk." So, tugging luggage, we followed his directions. 25 minutes later we arrived. We did not walk slowly. We were drenched in sweat. We are no longer young. The hotel sent me a survey, in which I mentioned this. They did not respond. This incident was the only blemish on what was otherwise a splendid 17-day holiday.
