Incredibly glitchy "online check-in" and communications system. Kept giving me errors, telling me to contact the hotel. Hotel staff were less than helpful, told me it was "something you did" as to why the system wasn't working correctly. Not a great start. Hotel uses old "put key in slot in room to turn on power". This meant that my room which had clearly not been occupied in days had no heating in 0°C weather in January in Amsterdam and was like an icebox when I walked in. Took 12 hours of heating on full to make the room warm enough to be comfortable. You might be saving yourself money by not heating empty rooms, but you should find someway to heat them up before occupancy.

I have stayed at this hotel several times now over the past 2 years and have always had a good experience. The front desk staff have always been friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. I do prefer the privilege rooms they offer as they are larger. The location of the hotel is a very short walk to the train station and the train into the city centre is about 5 minutes, and the trip to the airport is about 10-15 minutes, at the train station, the location gets you into the city centre quickly but offers a quieter more relaxing area away from the city centre noise.
