A nice hotel and helpful staff. The rooms can get stuffy and warm sometimes so I suggest leaving the air conditioning on during the day. The mattress is very thin and I got a pain in my back and shoulder the following day… we requested extra pillows for each of us as they were very thin. They gave us the pillows no problem. The bar area was lovely and quiet and having a snack area is very convenient. The location is great and if you want to get an Uber it picks you up just past the tunnel at the station.

Location is perfect right next to train station which is hub for all travel and sightseeing activities. Central downtown core and jump off point for all canal cruises is right across the road from front door. Eating options are two minute walk away. They also have a nice breakfast available in the morning for 18 euros per person. Rooms in hotel a a little small but completely adequate for couples travel. Perhaps the best compliment goes to the hotel staff. We had one individual in our group who took sick and the supervisor Iman and Caitlin did everything possible to help us out including crutches and directing us to a nearby doctors clinic in train station right next door. I don’t think you can do a lot better than this hotel for a stay in Amsterdam. To top it off the airport is a quick 20 min train ride away at minimal cost.

Great location adjoining the central station

The hotel is situated next to the train station and was easily accessible. Even though the rooms were relatively small, typical for this city, they were spacious enough and had many amenities. The lack of a mini bar in the room was compensated partly by a mini market in the lobby area. A bar located next to the lobby served a good variety of drinks at good prices. Breakfast served buffet style had a good spread giving everyone something they liked including scrambled eggs and sausages. Good value for money.

Not the best not the worst

Rooms are very small, especially bathrooms. Hardly any room to move around what so ever. The flat screen TV had no English channels and the Netflix did not work. When connecting my own device through HDMI to use I found that the HDMI also does not work. The internet would drop every 3-4 minutes, so unless you are wanting to use personal data… avoid. Check in and check out was simple, however I was almost charged twice for city tax as the card machine ran out of paper when I paid at check in. I was told to collect my receipt at check out then to be questioned by 3 members of staff at reception as to whether or not I had paid it. I had to get the transaction up on my bank, which again was difficult with limited internet access. Not very professional. Double rooms for 2 people had only 3 pillows, this didn’t make much sense to me. If it was only 2 pillows I would understand to an extent… 3 made no sense. However beds were quite comfy. I stayed in a room facing the city on the 6th floor (nice view) so had no trouble from the trains, but with being so close to the train station I can imagine why other guests found this an issue. Rooms are advertised as soundproof, definitely not the case. We didn’t eat here either so cannot comment on the food. Staff overall seemed quite nice despite the issue at checkout. We was able to check in 30 minutes early. We were also able to leave cases free of charge before check in and after check out until we left for the airport. Cleaners do come around daily which is good and provide fresh towels / bedding. Would recommend for no longer than a 2/3 night stay. We only used the hotel to come back to at sleep at night and to shower. Would not be ideal if you are booking for a work trip / long haul. Not a lot of room for storage (4 clothes hangers in an open cabinet below TV).

Typical European economy hotel: very small room, minimal accessories in the room but all the basics. Only some rooms have a tea/coffee set but you may be able to request one to be added. Breakfast is expensive and fairly minimal but adequate. Request the main tower or you’ll be listening to the trains all night. Also, the back tower was renovated less recently and air flow was terrible so I switched rooms to the front tower. Much better all around. If you have any issues ask for Hicham - he was AMAZING! Best customer service I have ever received in any hotel. Location is very central for walking everywhere.
