Excellent hotel,food staff,drinks all very good. Only 1 thing that needs improvement. Bar staff management and training. If you want drinks quickly or service quickly this isn’t going to happen. The hotel seems to run a crazy duplicated system where a cashier stands and makes up the bills. Everyone looks busy doing nothing while all guests seem to wait forever on drinks and service. Needs to be brought into 21st century. Access to beach is fantastic and pool is also very good. I would stay here again but would like to see improvement

We stayed 5 days in Novotel Phu Quoc. The hotel is very nice, clean, the rooms are spacious, the beach is nice, the food is very good. Everything is great, except for All Inclusive. We booked a room with All Inclusive option for 2 adults and 14 years old boy (and paid a supplement for an extra bed – which was not very comfortable). When we arrived, we were told that only my husband and me were included in All In and that our son had only complimentary breakfast! If we wanted him to have All In, we had to pay additional 65 USD a day. We have stayed in many All Inclusive hotels around the world, but this is the first time that this happens. When you book a room for 3 people with All Inclusive, everybody is included. If we have known that before, we would have chosen another hotel. First of all: taking into account the prices of meal and drinks in Vietnam and even in the Novotel Phu Quoc, the All Inclusive option is extremely expensive. We paid about 65 USD for our son per day, but buffet lunch is about 20 and buffet dinner about 25, drinks like 2. Moreover, you cannot take the food or drinks "out": it means, you cannot take a cup of coffee from the lobby bar or restaurant to the beach or to your balcony, you have to drink it right there. The pool bar opens around 11 o´clock, so till then you practically cannot have anything on the beach. Also the choice of drinks is extremely limited in All Inclusive. They have a good choice of drinks but those are not included in All In, which is ridiculous, taking into account the price of it.

Disappointing Stay – Noise, Poor Policies, and Overcrowding We had high expectations for a relaxing vacation, but this hotel fell far short in multiple areas. Noise Disturbance: The rooms on the north side are right next to the hotel tennis courts, which operate from 6 AM, per hotel policy. The noise makes it almost impossible to sleep in. They also allow games in the afternoon from 1 PM to 5 PM, disrupting any chance for rest. With no soundproofing in the rooms, the experience is anything but relaxing. Room Policy Issues: The hotel allows bookings for 2 adults and 2 children in one room but only provides two single beds. For an extra fee, they offer a small additional bed, but there’s still no proper accommodation for the second child. Once the extra bed is added, there’s barely any space left in the room, making it feel more like a 3-star hotel experience. Beach Facilities: The beach is poorly managed. There are not enough sunbeds, and you often have to argue with other guests to secure one or settle for lying on the sand with little to no shade. Additionally, the two paddleboards provided are unstable and not suitable for proper use. Overall, this hotel lacks the basic comforts and organization you would expect from its advertised standards. Unless you’re looking for a noisy and cramped experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a truly relaxing holiday.

Good hotel for Adults. NOT good for kids or those with allergies.

Positives Nice beach without being hassled Tennis courts are good Staff are generally good and friendly. Particularly restaurant staff. VY or MY and Choang (Manager) were exceptional. Prices were reasonable overall. Hotel grounds are pretty at night and clean. Spa is very nice and had a brilliant massage. Negatives I never complain and love holidays however, gluten free was abysmal. There were minimal options and all contaminated with Gluten. As my son is gluten free this ruined our holiday. Don't go if you have an allergy, particularly nut or gluten. Prices are not correct as there is an additional service charge of 5% and then vat 8% on everything. The room was sold as a bungalow however there was another family attached through the wall. The photos are misleading. The room was purchased as 2 adults and 2 kids yet EVERY room clean they would leave TWO towels and no spare sheets to make up the kids sofa (yes, your kids will have to either sleep on a sofa or share the bed with adults). It is advertised as kid friendly however the kid facilities are TERRIBLE. Examples, no kids bikes for a family cycle only adult bikes, kids club doing the exact same activities every second day (origami 4 days per week is not fun). The kids club computer is over 7 years old PS4 (although kids are not on holiday for gaming, this shows how old the facilities are, kids were playing FIFA 18, yes 18. That is embarassing for a billion dollar company). Nil kids fun toys around pool. Nil kids slides. Nil kids menu. Pool foam party x2 per week was good. Rap and Dance music with repeated use of the F word with kids in the pool was not good. As much as I don't mind Fatman Scoop, my 4 year old doesn't need to hear him tell everyone to F off. Not allowed to make use of happy hour unless you sit in main bar. If your kids are sleeping and you wish to have happy hour in room. Not allowed. Gym is about 100 years old.

This is a great hotel. Superb service and great breakfast. With all hotels drinks and food are at a premium compared to outside. Overall I am going back for a third visit. Beach opposite the hotels and a good tour desk too. Pool is fantastic and tennis courts and gym on site.
