Service was terrible when checking in. Person at front desk was very rude to my wife and then went to attend to someone else whilst midway through going to check in. Went to the lounge as we are plantium members and our room wasn’t ready until 5pm. Also did not receive a welcome package and when mentioned about it forgot to give us a bottle of wine they didn’t bring it. Staff at the lounge serving food and drinks were good and accomodating but all other staff were rude and hopeless

We had an amazing stay at this stunning hotel. We were really pleased with everything, the rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly. The breakfast is delicious. Sadly it was too cold to swim but the infinity pool over looking Darling Harbour is beautiful! True 5 star experience

Promising location and will be great when the rest of Darling Harbour is finished.

This is one of the newer hotels in Sydney as most were built for the 2000 Olympics, the entry is beautiful with its own driveway and valet parking, the guest check in and bar is nice and the lifts are quick and silent. The rooms are well appointed and tidy with modern fit outs. The view from our room was really good, however this will soon be built as another hotel is going up next door and will block the view. Otherwise the stay was great, all the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help and accommodate

This was the first time we’ve been to Sydney and we spent four nights at the Sofitel Darling Harbour. All staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Check in and check out were quick and hassle free. Our bags were delivered to our room just as we went to enter it for the first time and the gentleman delivering them was most courteous and gave us a helpful run down on the room. The room was immaculate and the view of the harbour was expansive and interesting. The Atelier restaurant had wonderful wait staff and the dinners we had on the three nights we dined there were fantastic. They were also particularly efficient with no long delays in service which can sometimes be the case elsewhere. The second night we dined there was considerably busier than the first and we wondered if things may slow a little compared to the first night but this was not the case with the service occurring in a timely fashion and the meals still excellent. The buffet breakfast had a wide selection and was also of a high standard. We throughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. We have stayed at various other Sofitels and this one compares favourably. We would definitely stay here again when in Sydney.

I stayed in sofitel darling harbour yesterday room. We paid $536.41 AUD for a room. We had a terrible experience for such an expensive room, you would expect 5 star service. To start with, the bathrobe was torn. Then the hair dryer was not working. There was no charging port for usbc. We got on the lift and the lift was not working, what sort of hotel is this. We paid $89 for the valet to park our car. Each time when we went our they toom 20/30 mins to bring the car for which we needed to uber back and forth to the shopping centre since it was closing at 7. This cost us extra money. We were very unhappy with the service.however, did not complain. While checking out, the reception confirmed there is no extra charges because we booked through amex anx we were supposed to get around $140 dollar points / voucher which should cover the wine we had from the rooftop bar ($78) and some room service. They confirmed everything. Was covered and no additional charges for required and now i see $277 AUD deducted from my account.
