We stayed here before, just before the first lockdown, and things were much worse this time. Breakfast: staff took it on themselves on two mornings to close the main room by putting "reserved" signs on every table and making everyone go into a smaller, more cramped room. It was never clear why, but apparently to minimise cleaning. No one - staff or guests - wore a mask when around the food or moving around the room. Front-desk staff were variable, between 0 and 5 stars The "welcome drink" for being an Accor Gold member (which was not offered, but had to be requested) was limited to one person, rather for than the two staying in the room. I was told that this was "standard" in Accor properties. it most definitely is not. Room keys had to be replaced three or four times. Once, the same "this is standard" staff member told me the key was working. it was not. Another staff member later discovered that the keys had been issued incorrectly in the first place. In the room, the shower head could not be moved up and down the pole. There weren't enough power points. Otherwise, the room was quiet and the hotel is in a nice location. A night staff member (generally much better than the day staff) kindly printed our boarding passes. That's not enough to offset a property where it often felt that "the customer is always wrong".

This place is dark dismal and badly maintained. The public areas were untidy and uninviting. Staff asked what more did we expect from budget accommodation. The room rate didn't feel particularly in the budget category ...

I spent one delightful night at Ibis Styles Lyon Confluence. The room and the service has been perfect. The staff at the reception was extremely nice and professional and also the breakfast was satisfying. If I come back to Lyon, I will choose this hotel again.

Room was nice. Breakfast was OK. Staff are quite unhelpful. There's no tea coffee in the rooms, but is a kettle in reception but no milk, reception won't give you any. There is a terrace but it's never open and when we asked to sit out there with a drink we was told to go find a bar!! No indoor pool either as advertised. Staff don't want to be bothered with questions. Awful hospitality. Go along the road a hundred metres to Rem's Bar and have a great time, is my suggestion. This is the 2nd Ibis I have stayed in, both ruined by lazy unhelpful staff, must be company policy.

The Pluses Check-in was pretty fast. Room was clean and tidy Comfortable bed Clean and modern bathroom Flat Screen TV Complimentary wifi Breakfast buffet very nice The Minus Very cold in room, heating was very poor, pretty much nonexistent. It was colder inside the room than outside. Ask for a small heater, front desk I was told they did not have these. Was handed another blanket by one of the receptionists. She certainly did not seemed too concerned about my discomfort. The following morning, I mentioned this to housekeeping. They were on the phone immediately to the maintenance man. He arrived and did some adjustments. The following night it was slightly better but certainly not as it should be. Very disappointing. At least the maintenance man tried to make it better. I did appreciate his effort.
