I picked a single room with a bathroom for three nights. It was actually a double bed with a bed on top. It could be a bit small for two adults and a kid, but all right but for one or two. Everything was very clean. There is a television inside the room. There is an elevator in the hotel. You get to hear the other rooms and the hallway, but it was overall quite quiet when I was there. The breakfast is great and of very good value. You get bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruits, croissant, jam, chocolatines, coffee, juice and tea. Excellent start for your day. Staff is super nice and recommended me a very good restaurant nearby (Brasserie Georges which I also definitely recommend). The location is not so close to the Vieux-Lyon or the busy Lyon restaurant life, but there is a tram stop very close. You can also use the city bikes to move around town rapidly and for cheap. I would stay there again for sure.

Staff spoke little english but enough that they could understand us. Exactly what it's meant to be, a budget hotel in a city. Breakfast was good. Only problems was that when you exited the shower you was in the main room so little privacy between roomates and secondly maids came into room despite do not disturb sign on the door.

I had no reservation and didn't feel like running around the city when I found myself unexpectedly in Lyon on the way to Monaco and had to stop for the night. Ibis had a room. The good points (at least for me): -English speaking reception -Parking garage (but a reservation for a space is required and I had none.) -Ample city parking across the street (free until 9:00 a.m.) -Good size room, about 4x4 meters, with very good lighting and good size bath. -Comfortable firm double bed and pillows. -Very quiet, even though It's on a main thoroughfare with heavy traffic. Not as good points: -Spartan. Only furnishings are the bed, the small built-in table I'm at now, and a plastic stool. -No window coverings but a pull-down shade. No decoration at all. -No place to put clothes except 5 coat hangars on the wall. -Just has a warehouse feel. -Small TV with only French language channels. I know, it's France. But most European hotels have at least a few other language channels. -Breakfast (6 Euro extra) consists of cereal, a couple breads, a 3 fruit salad, and individual cheese packs. Coffee and juice. -Price 88 Euro plus breakfast. -Nothing in the surrounding area in terms of restaurants or pubs, except two...one next door that was good but limited menu, and REM burgers. So, if you're just backpacking it and have few belongings, and are looking for a place to lay your head and nothing else, then give it a go. If you're looking for more, look elsewhere.

My friend and I were staying one night on the way back from the tour de France in the alps. Hotel was as expected apart from when we went to our room there was already someone in it! Reception staff then went up and checked, but said there were no more twin rooms and all they could offer was a room with a double bed. It wasn't the end of the world but not exactly what we had booked!

We loved the place (not so far from the old city center). The room was comfortable,clean, new, breakfast was good and espetialy the reception desk and dead Rachel that was open to help with every qwestion.
