Top notch 4 star in Lyon. Not far from main sites. Cool retro bar, decent room with a nice view. Staff were lovely, food in restaurant was simply incredible, very, very tasty. Lovely historic hotel, and finally George (I think) the night guy. Give the guy a promotion, he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the hotel, showed me old photos of the hotel which were fascinating. Very enthusiastic character. Great stay despite my very limited French (I did try).

Lovely rooms and hotel, let down by staff who are overworked and can’t be bothered

I have always enjoyed staying here, but won’t be back. Rooms are lovely, problem is lack of staff and those that are working can’t be bothered as all overworked. One of the lifts has been broken for weeks

Located in a 1906 chateau, the Mercure Chateau Perrache is across from the train station and a short walk from the city centre restaurants and attractions. Large king room with all the usual amenities. Enjoyed the expansive breakfast buffet with plenty of hot and cold items.

We are very touched with the room decoration and small gift for my wife’s birthday. The location is very prime, just across the train station and car rentals. 5 minutes walking from the parking building.

Great location, hotel did have air-con but not very effective, probably overloaded with exceptionally hot weather. Nice privilege room, large and clean. Need to be wary of pick pockets etc. around stations more than anywhere so this does raise risk. Only negative was no onsite parking and had to walk each way for around 5-6 minutes via the station to the other side (only an issue if you have a car).
