Our two sons stayed at the Mercure Haymarket Hotel, as our younger son ran in the Edinburgh Marathon. The staff are exceptional. Our son had a few problems during their stay (nothing to do with the hotel), and the staff could not have been more kind and helpful. They are polite, courteous and very professional. Special thanks go to Ian and Keegan on reception. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay in. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Edinburgh. Highly recommend it.

Ok hotel, set in the heart of Edinburgh. Was there for the half marathon. Hotel was fine, however as ever it’s not just down to the cleanliness and decor, it’s the service. On check in I asked the receptionist if it was possible to have a late checkout, due to me running and needing a shower. No empathy, no sympathy just ‘no’. Realise the hotel’s busy and yes accept a late check out was not possible, it’s the way you say it though. Shame, nice enough hotel, unlikely to be back though.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for a few nights for my birthday and couldn't have had a better experience. The room was clean, smelt nice and spacious with suitable amenities. The staff were lovely and always available to answer any questions we had; we asked for a later check out quite last minute and it wasn't an issue with no extra charge - not something you'd get from other chains. The hotel was located in the perfect spot, too. By foot, it's 10 minutes from the tram station (with a 25ish minute journey to the airport by tram) and 15 minutes out from the city centre which suited our trip perfectly. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you're visiting Edinburgh.

Stayed here for the weekend while visiting Edinburgh. Hotel is ideally located and is within walking distance of central Edinburgh. Hotel was very clean, room was a bit on the small side but was adequate for our needs. Was good value for money

Stayed a couple of nights here at the Mercure hotel in Edinburgh Haymarket. Great value and perfect clean rooms. There is a tiny gym but good for daily exercise. Breakfast buffet is ok but they don’t serve any salads with breakfast . Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is on walking distance towards princess street app. 20 /30 minutes. Busses are just around the corner as well as plenty of restaurants, pubs, etc.
