Only one night stay and was hardly there but staff very pleasant and the room was well appointed and all kitchen stuff there if you need it inc dishwasher! Great location, only 10 mins walk from Waverley and right in the thick of the history. Would return.

The hotel is located just at the bottom of the Royal Mile so it gives easy access to all the interesting tourist sights. Designed for long stay, the rooms are large with a basic kitchen area where you can prepare your meals. Note, if you are staying shorter than 8 nights, there is no housekeeping. That was ok for us, but we didn't know this when booking. The rooms offers an armchair and a small desk area for working. Bathroom amenities includes soap and shampoo. Breakfast was ok but not the best, not sure the food was prepared at the hotel or not. Scrambled eggs rather dry and hash browns not crispy. However, the lady working the breakfast was amazing. She was clearing tables, replenishing the food and was very friendly. I would be happy to stay at the hotel again.

Amazing location, amazing price, amazing rooms. Second visit here and never failed us. Will definitely come again for our birthdays and wedding anniversary. Comfy beds, great facilities and everything you need in the heart of Edinburgh

Staff is professional and helpful. We had some requirements that may have been received as needy, however the staff was more than accommodating and assisted us in each occasion. Rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. Great amenities in the lobby too for late night snacks or drinks. This is a great place to stay in Edinburgh that happens to be near the cannons gate part of the Royal Mile (yes its on the Royal Mile) but its the quiet end which contributed to the cozy experience we wanted. Would stay here again when we go back, and we can’t wait!

My husband and I have stayed at multiple hotels in Edinburgh over the years but this was by far the best. We booked a studio apartment for 1 night, as had tickets to the Blue Man Group. Upon arrival, the lovely staff member who checked us in gave us a free room upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment! My husband and I were gobsmacked at his kindness, as we’ve never been upgraded before. The staff member didn’t know but this was actually a short trip away for my birthday which we had been saving hard for, so to get a room upgrade was very much appreciated. The room itself was immaculate - spotlessly clean and came with so many amenities, (of which we used them all!) Thank you to the wonderful receptionist who made our trip! (We stayed on Friday 11th October. So sorry we didn’t ask your name. Your kindness overwhelmed us and we completely forgot to ask in the moment!)
