The Ibis Budget hotel was very convenient and easy to access which was the main reason for our selection. Jumping on the tram from the Edinburgh Airport to the Ibis Budget hotel was easy and fast. Having just one night in Edinburgh, we looked for airport convenience and easy access to the center of Edinburgh. Our room was clean and comfortable and contained all the items we needed for a peaceful stay. Front Office Staff was helpful and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the availability of hot tea in the lobby. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for convenience and are on a budget. It did not disappoint.

A basic budget hotel, which is perfectly fine for a short stopover. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Very convenient for travel to the city centre or the airport as the tram stop is a very short walk from the hotel. Nice helpful staff on duty during my stay. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Good hotel between airport and city cente

Good hotel convenient for the airport and easy to get into down town Edinburgh by the tram. Close to tram stop. Rooms clean, good shower, bed. Reception has a small bar for a beer and tv. Pizzas for food. Free tea and coffee in reception. Staff helpful. Close to supermarket and shopping centre. Surrounding area is much quieter than in the city centre. But this suited me, for this trip. It was nice to get back and relax. I would stay there again.

Positive: Near Airport, bit remote and quiet place, good publice travel services (tram) Improve: Two star, budget hotel with 4 star pricing. (Over £150,- a night, without breakfast) Bad cleaning. Not very interested in customer feedback. (Not coming back again)

We stayed here on the 7th June for 1 night . On arriving we was able to park directly outside the hotel there is a parking machine which advised its £5 for 24hrs but when we got in the hotel and registered the car they advised it was free for the duration of our stay. On booking check in was 3pm however the staff let us check in at 1pm which was great it allowed us some extra time to get ready before going out. The staff on reception was very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance to the tram stop. Unfortunately though the rooms are tiny we stayed in a triple room as it was of the only ones available when booking for just the 2 of us, I’m not sure if this is why the bunk wasn’t made up and there was no pillows on the bunk bed. We had a single pillow each on the double bed which I found too firm personally for my liking. There was mould around the window and a dark hair on floor and the toilet smelt like a urinal. Our room was directly opposite an office building next door so lacked privacy. During the night I was often woken by a bubbling sound which I couldn’t figure if it was the air con unit above the door in the room or the plumbing. I personally wouldn’t recommend staying here although it is a budget hotel there is some standards in regards to room layout and cleanliness that just aren’t being meet even for a budget hotel.
