Lovely hotel as soon as i walked in. This was a birthday celebration for a few days. Check in was easy and straight forward however had to ask questions which were forgotten about by the receptionist. Like what time breakfast and details about the pool access. Came to our executive room and it was lovely and spacious and worth the extra money. There was a birthday card waiting for me and a couple of chocolates such a nice touch. However my partner was disappointed as he had rang the hotel numerous of times to ensure there was balloons and even mentioned about paying for the room to be special but this was also not done. I also asked my partner If he could ring the hotel beforehand to ask for extra pillows with being 7 months pregnant i needed the extra comfort sleeping and when we arrived there was no extra pillows. So it was a trip to reception to ask for more which they did do promptly. Breakfast was very nice indeed and all cooked to perfection. Hash browns were the best. This set us up for the whole day of exploring the city on both mornings. Location was very central and not far from the castle at all. We used the pool facilities which was a small pool with jacuzzi and sauna which I used the swimming pool and my partner used all the facilities and we really enjoyed this after doing lots of steps in the day it was nice to unwind. The bar in the hotel is lovely and quiet when we attended however expensive for drinks so we did only use this on one occasion. Complimentary water in the fridge and coffee and tea facilities were a lovely touch in the room on arrival. As a birthday celebration I had a lovely time and celebrated in style just a few teething issues we experienced.

A very nice hotel and great room (including the largest TV screen I have ever seen!) and close to the castle and National Museum of Scotland. The staff were all fantastic. Superior quality coffee sachets in the room would have been better and, being in the capital of Scotland, wee mini-packets of shortbread would have been a lovely CX touch. I thought the dinner menu was very limited and would have given 5 stars had there been more choices.

Excellent service and support. I have used the hotel venue for workshops and meetings a number of times now. Always very helpful and attentive. Good well stocked meeting rooms, tea/coffee available, as well as water, biscuits and fruit. Good lunches. Thanks to Charlotte K and Magda.

I recently stayed at Novotel Edinburgh centre and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The check in process was smooth and efficient, and my room was super clean, well designed, and very comfortable. The hotel is situated very close to the city centre and just a short walk from the main exhibit, which made getting around extremely convenient. I highly recommend it.

Book the Premier Inn next door!

Check-in desk- slow, only 2 on desk and each time one lady, was busy making herself look busy, and did not acknowledge there was a long queue of new guest waiting to check in. Room- Standard family Queen bed. Bed was so uncomfortable, pillows horrible, double sofa bed, also uncomfortable, very little space in room. Toilet and bathroom separate, and the sink was blocked. Very tired room. Pool- After a long day walking around amazing Edinburgh, came back at 5ish to have swim, pool was full, apparently busy 5-8pm every day, could go on waiting list!!!!! No mention of this on website or at check-in. Restaurant- so many amazing restaurants in Edinburgh, but did decide to have desert here, ordered Pannacotta, absolutely disgusting! We sent them back! Location- Location is really good, but book the Premier Inn next door!!
