Not as good as I hoped

I stayed here for 3 nights. I arrived a little early and was told my room was ready but need to be checked and was pointed towards a seat opposite the check in desk. I asked could I wait in the Executive Lounge, I was told yes and escorted up there. I waited 30 mins for my key to arrive and when I asked the lounge hostess she called reception and was told room was not ready. Another 20 minutes later she said the room was ready and key was being brought up. 30 further minutes and still no key so I decided I’d had enough and got in the lift to reception. Arrived and there was a shift change so had to present passport again and then was told room was ready and I was given keys, no idea what had happened to the key that was ready 30 minutes earlier!! The shuttle is also useless! It does not take you to Century 21 shopping or Asok station, which would be much more convenient for guests but rather to Sukhumvit 18, which is about 5 mins walk then to the Asok. Totally ridiculous and un-necessary. From what I could see there is no timetable and thus no way to know where or when to get the shuttle back! One positive was the lounge. The hostess, during the time I was there, was lovely and very efficient. The food offering in an evening was excellent and the cocktails were great between 5pm - 7pm. It’s a shame though that the lounge is only open between 11am - 7pm so you cannot have breakfast there. Overall, I was disappointed and will stay at other Accor hotels next time I’m in Bangkok.

Lovelly staff, excellent room...although not a lot of storage for clothes. We sadly didn't have time to try the pool. The Roof terrace is nice and good food and not silly prices The breakfast choice and quality and freshness and everything hot and fresh is exceptionall 15 minute walk to the sky train and metro

Location is great choice. Room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and nice Especially , Ms. Natty at the front desk she provides very good service and kind. Overall we enjoyed our stay with you !

I would like to recommend Natt. He works as a concierge at the entrance of Novotel. He is friendly, professional, and attentive. The pool is fantastic, but the floors should be rinsed and cleaned thoroughly every evening. There is a lovely rooftop bar with a beautiful sunset view. I recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
