Executive free for being a member

The executive room was given to me for free from a normal superior room reservation for being a member, and it was the best hotel experience i have ever had. I recommend the novotel and all accor hotels for being just the hotel service that you need for city brakes and business trips. They definitely won me as a client with the executive upgrade.
Very loud construction all day for 2 days

The hotel and staff were nice, but it's inexcusable to put your customers directly beneath a room that is under construction with loud noise, power equipment in use and workers stomping about all day for both days of our stay. I don't believe this was an oversight because I'm certain that hotel management was aware of the construction schedule, so I believe that it was just greed that prompted you not to block out the rooms that would be impacted by the noise of the construction. I am an expat living part of each year in Vietnam, and have stayed in some of your other brand hotels throughout SE Asia (Ibis, etc.), but will no longer do so because of this poor experience.
Good location for train tranportation

Good located nearby main train station. The room is big (we choosed executive room). But the breakfast had limited choices comparing with other Novotel hotels. Very few choices, not meet expectation. The staff are very few as well. When there's many guests waiting for check it, this showed traffic jam on que. And the staff at reception needed to take care coffee shop also, so many tasks making not provide service ontime for guest at check in counter.

I had a very pleasant stay with my family, the rooms were very clean, the room service staff were very kind, the reception staff were very helpfull and very ready to give any assistance ,thank you for all of them, the resturant was very clean however the food diversity is not enough.
A lot of room for improvement.

Probably the worse experience I have had in any Accor hotel, and not what I expect from Novotel which I have always been told were a 4 star star rating. I was upgraded to an Executive room as I am a Gold member of the Accor Loyalty scheme, the free mini bar was never re-filled correctly every day of the 4 days I was there, so always had to ask at reception. The coffee capsules were also not replenished one day, these are just basic hotel housekeeping tasks, so why so difficult? The bathroom sink had no plug to stop water draining and no member of staff cold tell me why, including the Front Of House Manager, who did come to investigate, but i never saw or heard from him again. For a hotel chain that says it is a environmentally friendly company, I don't see how wasting water is acceptable. The bar is a joke, it has two counter top machines of the type you would have at home, and are just not suitable for a commercial business. The Stella Artois ran out on our first night there. Not sure why the Ibis hotel just up the road has such a better bar. I am always loyal to Accor hotels, but this this will be my last stay at any Novotel hotel.
