Ok hotel but train station area is not safe

Dear "Onlyfinchy", Thanks for your review about our hotel. We are pleased that you found our location right opposite the train station convenient for your travels. However, we understand your concerns regarding the safety and cleanliness of the immediate surrounding area. While these elements are indeed beyond our control, we strive to provide a secure and welcoming environment within our premises. Additionally, we regret that the distance to the Grand Place did not meet your expectations. Our central location is usually appreciated for its proximity to various attractions ; it's only 10' to get to Grand'Place with the Metro and we apologize if this was an inconvenience to you. We hope you managed to take advantage of our comfortable rooms and the various amenities we offer, such as our selection of local Belgian beers and the ibis-flavoured gin exclusively available during the summer. Our guests' comfort is of the utmost importance, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the scent in your room. We always strive to provide clean and fresh accommodations, and it seems we fell short in this instance. Additionally, we understand your concerns regarding the surrounding area. We take safety seriously, and while we are located in a vibrant part of the city that is in the process of development, we want to ensure all guests feel secure during their stay. Regarding the location, we are situated opposite the Brussels-South railway station, which offers convenient access to international trains and public transport that connect to various parts of the city, including the historical heart of Brussels. The condition of the room you described is certainly not up to our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. We understand the distress that unattended rooms and inadequate bathroom linen can cause, and we apologize for this oversight. Concerning the breakfast options, we aim to cater to all our guests' dietary needs, including offering allergy-friendly choices. We are sorry to hear that your stay at ibis Brussels Centre Gare Midi did not live up to your expectations and apologize for any inconvenience you faced. Regarding the lack of USB plugs in the rooms, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Our hotel aims to provide a comfortable environment and we recognize the importance of staying connected, therefore we offer alternative charging solutions at the reception. We understand that a welcoming and efficient check-in process is crucial, especially when timing is a concern. It is regrettable that a delay occurred due to system issues and we apologize for any stress this has caused. Our team strives to ensure a smooth experience and we are disheartened that we fell short in this instance. Furthermore, the situation described with the elevators is certainly not up to our standard. Our maintenance team is tasked with ensuring that all our facilities, including elevators, are functioning properly and we regret any disruption this may have caused during your stay. Cleanliness is a cornerstone of our service, and to discover a lapse as you described with the waste bin is deeply concerning. Please accept our sincerest apologies; we have addressed this with our housekeeping team to prevent such occurrences in the future. Lastly, we acknowledge your thoughts on the value offered.
