Ok hotel but train station area is not safe

Hotel is ok. Standard ibis. Jsut opposite the train station which is convenient. But the area is not safe. The street next to it has fun shots the night before. Some streets are very very dirty. But it’s not the hotel’s fault of course. Some walk required if you want to go to the grand place.

However, we understand your concerns regarding the safety and cleanliness of the immediate surrounding area. While these elements are indeed beyond our control, we strive to provide a secure and welcoming environment within our premises. Additionally, we regret that the distance to the Grand Place did not meet your expectations. Our central location is usually appreciated for its proximity to various attractions ; it's only 10' to get to Grand'Place with the Metro and we apologize if this was an inconvenience to you. We hope you managed to take advantage of our comfortable rooms and the various amenities we offer, such as our selection of local Belgian beers and the ibis-flavoured gin exclusively available during the summer. Not a great experience, bit of a walk from everything, our room had a smoker in it before us and the room was stink.and the smell was still coming from the bed.the area this hotel was in was not safe and was extremely run down. Not safe at night time.

Awful Checked in at 5 , gave me the room ,got inside ,the sheets were still the night before, rubbish in the room ,towels in bathroom had someone's BLOOD on them . No alergie matrix at breakfast. My daughter has a peanut alergie. Hideous experience

No USB plugs at all in the rooms to charge electronics. Rude reception staff, systems were down during check in causing me to wait which resulted in me being late for a meeting. Elevators were not working. I had a condom stuck to the back of my bin in the room. Absolutely terrible stay. 140 euros, no breakfast. There are a lot more value options I would recommend near to the station.
