The hotel’s location may suit travelers with road access, but I hope the hotel would consider providing more proactive communication for guests reliant on public transport or those unfamiliar with the area. Let's be honest - the hotel is located far, at a reasonable distance away from the airport. It would be great if the Management provides an airport shuttle. In general, I have mixed feelings after my stay at the Ibis Vienna Airport hotel. I am very Thankful for the thoughtful reply of the Resident Manager. He took the time to address my concerns (via email) after my stay. I appreciate their effort put into ensuring a positive guest experience, and I am glad to hear that they are reviewing the clarity of the hotel's location details to avoid any misunderstandings. However, I'd like to provide some additional context regarding my experience in November. On 29th October 2024, I sent an email to Ibis Vienna Airport with the following question: “Hello (...) I may need to spend the night at your hotel in between flights. Question: How can I reach the Ibis Vienna Airport hotel from Vienna Airport (VIE)? What are the options?” Unfortunately, I did not receive a response to that inquiry, which could have helped clarify the logistics of reaching the hotel in advance. I arrived on 2nd of November, and I believe a timely reply would have been instrumental in managing expectations and ensuring a smoother arrival. While I appreciate the courteousness of the staff during my later phone call, and during my stay, the initial lack of clarity about the location and accessibility did cause significant inconvenience, especially given my tight travel schedule. Once again, I do understand that the hotel’s location may suit travelers with road access, but I hope you consider providing more proactive communication for guests reliant on public transport or those unfamiliar with the area. Those relying on train would need to make a connection (change trains) at Vienna central station. Thank You again for Your kind offer to assist with any future bookings or recommendations. My husband and I checked in late in the evening after travelling 16 hrs by car. We went straight to bed. We woken up most of the night scratching with bites, we put the full lights on blood on curtains, looks like washed up vomit on carpets, very dirty and smelly, dirt on shower and toilet. This was a dreadful night . Not even a 1 star. Ben's very old and uncomfortable with bugs. We paid just less than 200 euros for one night to come out with a rash. We checked out at 7am mentioned to reception, his reply was he didnt know about this, not even I'm sorry or will make a complaint to management. Not even water in the room upon arrival. I asked reception, he said you can drink the tap water from the bathroom...well what a nice welcome, I went to buy water after a long tiring travel. I had no option to complain to Accor to contact them directly by email. It was a waste of time making a formal complain at reception as they shown no interest in their profession on night and day duty. No option to change rooms .

Noisy and not as advertised

Not as advertised. Rooms were noisy; sound came from outside traffic, hallway chatter and Nextdoor rooms. The “room darking” shades have a large gap at the bottom which the parking lot lights shine into the room. The soap disperser next to the sink was full but did not work. Check is easy and WiFi works well.

Worst encounter I've had in a while

Disgusting behaviour from the concierge at reception on the night of 28/04/2024 at 4am. Went in with a 2 month old baby to use the baby changing facilities, all well and good, then my husband went in to get some hot water for baby's bottle, to which the man at reception said HOT WATER IS ONLY FOR GUESTS. Unfortunately, he made the whole situation very awkward, all we needed was water to FEED A 2 MONTH OLD BABY. "Family friendly" my a**. 🤮

Not near the airport at all, quite far in fact

It’s not near the airport, it’s 15 minutes away by car and has no transfer service, so it’s 29 euros per taxi trip, 58 in total. It’s in the middle of nowhere near a gas station and dinner options and breakfast are very expensive. On top of that the WiFi hasn’t worked so no option to work, not even check email. I don’t understand the good reviews, I’m really puzzled. The room is clean and the dinner and breakfast were good at least, hence the two stars. But if you add both taxi trips to the price, you might do better at an hotel next to the airport since it might end up being the same price.
