Excellent hotel in the Royal Mile

Excellent hotel! Great amenities, friendly staff, up-to-date gym and above-all, very competitively priced. Walking distance from old town and 15-minute brisk walk from Princes Street. Would definitely come back!

The location is convenient and close to major attractions, but it was not clear during booking that there is no room cleaning service. As an aparthotel, our service style is a little different from a traditional hotel. We do not provide daily housekeeping as part of the standard package, though fresh towels, linen, and other replacement items can be collected from reception free of charge at any time during your stay. For stays of 8 nights, we include one housekeeping service during the stay. I am sorry this was not clear during booking, and I will ensure this is reviewed so our service style is better communicated. I also note your comments about the absence of soap and tissues in the room, and the inability to adjust the air conditioning, and I will share these points with the team for review. Comfortable stay at a great location

We stayed in Adagio for 7 nights in November and absolutely loved it. It has a truly beautiful location, right in the heart of the Old Town and within easy walking distance of all the famous sights and tourist attractions. There is a small uphill walk before you fully reach the centre, which may be a bit challenging for some, but it didn’t bother us at all. Before booking, we spent some time deciding between the Old Town and the New Town and were very glad we chose the Old Town in the end. It added so much character and atmosphere to our stay. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a fridge, kitchenette and tea-making facilities, which was perfect for a longer stay. Despite the very central location, it was surprisingly quiet, and we slept very well every night. We also really appreciated the cleaning arrangement. There was no daily housekeeping, but fresh towels and toilet paper were easily available at reception whenever needed. For us, this was ideal, as we value our privacy while still having access to everything we needed. A special mention to the staff, who were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, which really made us feel at home. All in all, a wonderful place to stay offering comfort, character and an excellent location. We would happily stay here again. ♡
