Mercure Kuala Lumpur Shaw Parade 4 yıldız

Returning guests to Mercure Shaw parade. Now our go to place in kl. Reasonably well located to rear of Times square and Bukit bintang (about5/10 mins walks). The hotel is very clean in all areas and vast majority of staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms are well appointed, with toiletries, large tv, fridge, water etc. Ours was on 17 floor with city views. Room cleaning very good. Pool area on floor 20 is good with great views. The gym is here too with enough machines for basic workouts. Breakfast is excellent with good selection to please most tastes, and there is a small coffee shop on groundfloor. Overall highly recommended for the price and it was nice to be waved off on our departure, and we will return. After a long flight from uk we arrived at hotel at 9am, so it was nice to get a slightly early check in at 1pm Special thanks to Diane, Aida, Irfan, Sumitra, and all other staff who helped make our 4 night stay great

I’ve stayed in different spots around KL before: ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre, ibis Styles Kuala Lumpur Fraser Business Park, Holiday Inn Express — so I’ve got a decent baseline for comparison. Last year, I decided to try Mercure Shaw Parade, and honestly, it was a great choice. Here’s why: the price is often similar to ibis KLCC, but the breakfast and service feel better. The breakfast isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtful: a smart selection, tasty, and well-prepared. My friend and I enjoyed both the morning spread and the dishes from their a la carte menu. Evenings were the highlight — dining on the rooftop, taking in the city view, and breathing fresh air. And their “chili cut” — basically soy sauce with sliced fresh chilies — deserves a special mention. Simple, but with soul. Fun fact: that sauce was part of my very first visit. I came in hungry for dinner, ended up on the rooftop, loved the food — and later decided to book a stay. There’s also a Starbucks on the ground floor. Didn’t try it, but it looks cozy — not sure if it’s integrated with the lobby or just a separate tenant. There’s no single flashy feature — but everything works: location, comfort, dining, service. The area is well-connected: monorail and LRT nearby, and you can even walk to the city center if you like. Overall? Highly recommend. Great value for money, plus a sense of care and character that big chains sometimes miss.

I stayed here a week and was very impressed. The staff was excellent and friendly. It is well located for 2, different shopping centers. LaLaport mall is directly to the left, about 8 minutes walk. Berjaya Times Square mall is directly 2 blocks over, only 5 minutes walk. The hotel is 1 hour from KL International AirPort, and 30 minutes from Subang Airport. The breakfast selection was good, but one morning there was rancid watermelon on the buffet line. I used to work in F & B for an international hotel chain, so i am aware of the pressure to keep food costs down, but you absolutely cannot put bad food on the line. Saturday night past, there was a couple smoking cigarettes at the swimming pool, despite signs indicating that it is forbidden. I called it to the attention of the bartender, and he did nothing - so I left. This was poor behavior by the bartender. The drinks in the minibar were selected for an Asian clientele. No westerner is going to drink grass jelly or soya bean. You really need to add Coke and Sprite. But this is overall, a very fine hotel, and i will stay here in the future.

Stayed for 5 nights in room 1608. The location isn't great as It's on a busy road. Views from the 16th floor and the rooftop bar are breathtaking. Very spacious room and comfortable bed. Lockman the housekeeper was excellent and very helpful. My only issue is the limitations on food options at the hotel. Breakfast is good but limited in chiices The lobby bar serves food till 10pm. And will cook fresh, only the items on the limited menu. Wanted a simple cheese sandwich, they wouldn't do it. Overall, it's a good hotel but they need to improve the food options.

Nice room with complimentary amenities Swimming pool higher floor oversea the city, good place to hangout in the evening. Hope to see you guys again..
