We had a good stay at the Sofitel in Wellington. The hotel is a bit of a way from the busy spots such as Courtney Place and Cuba Street, but we didn’t mind walking so that was fine. The valet was very helpful on arrival with taking our luggage to the room and parking our car - the only negative was that we weren’t told a price (so was a bit shocked to find out on checkout that it was $55 a night). The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was very plush - we both slept great. Main gripe is that the bathroom was massive and had no heating, so it was freezing cold at all times. The breakfast buffet was great quality, a good range and selection, and the pastry selection was also good (even if some of the items could have been cooked a little longer). This is very typical of an international chain hotel. It’s good quality but very little personal service and the decor is a bit dated.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel for a month. It was a fantastic experience, made extra special by the attention to detail by the friendly staff and the food was perfect, especially the morning breakfast with barrista coffee. The bed is super comfortable and the location is great, within minutes of the botanical gardens and downtown. My only criticism would be the air conditioning which was overly active, although that's very much an individual preference.

Riservando Sofitel (per 2 notti) abbiamo voluto cercare la qualità. Servizio e pulizia assolutamente 🔝… come pure l’accoglienza e check-out. Camere spaziose e ben curate e letti.. comodissimi 😴. Colazione in un ambiente sobrio, romantico e offerta gradevole. Migliorabile: beh… giusto ricordare ai clienti del Sofitel Club le regole da rispettare, in primis un abbigliamento consono SMART CASUAL; ma poi, pf. se vi sono regole facciamole rispettare altrimenti a cosa servono. Adulti in tenuta spiaggia, Short da bagno e ciabatte flip-flop o sportive; bambini a scorrazzare. Mi spiace, assolutamente nessun rispetto di regole basilari della buona educazione. Spero di trovare meglio al SO/Auckland🙄

Dieses Sofitel verdient es nicht besucht zu werden - schlechter Service - abgewohntes Ambiente -der Gast wird ignoriert.

Wir waren als Familie mit 3 Personen über Weihnachten in diesem Hotel in Wellington. Da wir schon einige Sofitels auf dieser Welt positiv in Erinnerung hatten, war unsere Vorfreude groß . Diese wurde schon beim betreten unseres Zimmers enttäuscht… wir hatten für 3 Personen zwei einzelne Betten und das 3. Bett fehlte . Zurück an der Rezeption, erklärte man uns, dass wir ein anderes Zimmer bekommen könnten, welches aber noch gereinigt werden müsse. Ok… da wir schon seid 5 Wochen unterwegs und gut erholt auf unserem World Around Trip waren, setzten wir uns an die Bar und warteten. Nachdem wir das neue Zimmer bezogen hatten, mussten wir feststellen dass das Klappbett ein Eisengestell mit einem Hauch von Matratze war, auf dem man unmöglich schlafen konnte. Ok… ein weiterer Anruf bei der Rezeption, und man brachte uns eine Matratze, die daraufgelegt wurde, was zur Folge hatte, dass das Bett so instabil war, dass man beim umdrehen in der Nacht mitsamt der Matratze herausgefallen wäre … es wurde ein neues stabiles Bett gebracht… abends um 22.30 …warum nicht gleich… Von den fehlenden Handtüchern für die 3. Person, die auch erst nach dem 2. Anruf kamen, teilweise mit Löchern und dem schlechten Service im Restaurant und an der Bar, wollen wir garnicht erst sprechen. Das Weihnachtsdinner für 150€ pro Person war eine Frechheit. Es gab ein minderwertiges Buffet, welches sein Geld absolut nicht wert war. Auch das man nur dieses Buffet nehmen konnte und keine Wahl eines a la carte Essens hatte, machte das ganze nicht besser. Das Brot war hart, das Dessert kam teilweise aus abgepackter Verpackung, was man sehen konnte, da die Küche offen war und der Service war unterirdisch. Wir sind wirklich sehr versöhnlich wenn man unsere Reklamation ernst nimmt, aber so eine emotionslose Entgegennahme der Nachfrage beim Checkout wie uns der Aufenthalt gefallen habe, haben wir noch nie erlebt. Vermutlich wird es das einzige Mal sein dass wir dieses wunderschöne Neuseeland bereist haben, da es auf der anderen Seite der Welt für uns liegt, aber ganz sicher würden wir nie mehr dieses Sofitel besuchen.

O padrão Sofitel nunca me decepciona. O Sofitel Melbourne está localizado no distrito financeiro da cidade, a aproximadamente 40 minutos de Cuba Street, uma das ruas mais movimentadas, com bares e restaurantes. A decoração do hall de entrada, do bar e do restaurantes é uníssona, moderna e sofisticada, com o uso de poltronas com design italiano, tecidos de veludo e linho em dourado, verde, cinza e bronze, que trazem aconchego ao ambiente e o ponto alto é realmente o papel de parede floram do restaurante Jardin Grill, onde também é servido o excelente café da manhã. O quarto 1006 (Superior King Room), no qual nos hospedamos, é chique e muito charmoso, com decoração em tons de preto e dourado. A cama, como sempre comum da rede Sofitel, é um manjar dos deuses no conforto. O Wi-Fi do hotel é super forte e foi possível assistir à TV pelo iPad, tamanha a qualidade da velocidade. O restaurante do hotel, Jardin Grill, eu diria que é seu ponto alto, com uma gastronomia internacional, a comida é super saborosa e a apresentação e o atendimento sensacionais.
