Wifi was not stable enough for audio work calls As with other ibis styles desk is small and could barely keep my secondary screen As with other ibis styles only 2 power outlets in room making it less convenient to work, change and maybe make coffee at the same time.making coffee while working required a lot of maneuvers. The hotel does not have any public space that can be used for work. So despite liking other things about the hotelI will not likely to try to remote work from this hotel in the future for the above reasons. Otherwise the location is great near the trendy pijp neighbourhood and a nice street market Room was clean (as long as you don’t look under the bed to see the dust monsters). Bathroom modern and clean with special perk for me: hose shower and not just fixed shower. Everything in the room worked and was in good operational state. Nice 2 water bottles and a box of chocolate waited for me in the room. As other mention the carpet was worn down (a bit stained, torn) but personally that did not bother me. I reserved a small room and indeed the room was small, no surprises there I didn’t like not having any stool or space to open the suitcase as you have in 90% of other hotels in the world… Value was nice for money

Small double room but plenty big enough for a short break, good location for exploring the city. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. A good selection of bars and places to eat with in a 15 min walk. Trams and buses were nearby and the canal was only a few mins walk away.

Perfect position to reach all main Amsterdam attractions walking (specially the museum area and the Heineken Experience) . Very quiet area with a lot of good restaurants very close. Rooms very clean. Staff gentle and always available.

Whilst the location and staff were good, the staff especially was very polite and helpful, the hotel room was in dear need for maintenance. The safe was not working, and even after informing the front desk it did not get fixed forcing us to travel around with our valuables (not ideal in Amsterdam), the lamp shade was held together with scotch tape, there was no lamp fitting in the bathroom, the air dryer has simply melted, the shower gel was attached near the sink, making it impossible to reach while in the shower, and coffee was not replenished on the second day of our stay. I don’t want to sound like a brat but at nearly 300€ a night for a microscopic room, and as an ALL GOLD member, I could at least expect the room to be in good functioning order!!

Hotel is very well located and the reception staff is friendly and helpful. You can go every day to Albert Curpymarkt and indulge in delicious Asian food that can be found on any step after the leaving the hotel. Building where the hotel is located is at least 200 years old so it’s part of Amsterdam experience. Keep in mind this includes steep staircase and in the night hearing everything what’s going on in the building. Breakfast was absolute disaster, first we had to go in the hotel three doors down the street, second for a week stay breakfast was always the same (not even a variety with fruits) and third we would get asked (politely) could we leave so other people can sit on our spot and have breakfast. I think breakfast should have been cancelled but IBIS decided to run this sad charade, I have some ideas why that could be but for sure that’s not hat you expect from the brand.
