We booked 2 nights for our 2nd getaway leisure stay at Novotel Samator East Surabaya. The hotel rate is higher than our 1st stay back in November 2020, even for the lowest rate that comes with no breakfast for the Superior room. The service during check-in and check-out are faster now. We were given room 616, which was not completely cleaned as we noticed there was a leftover mineral water bottle in the mini fridge. The room and facilities are great, except that it had a slight smell of cigarettes (probably because it was functioned as a smoking room before) and also the toilet plumbing was leaking quite bad. The location is excellent, as we can explore some culinary options around MERR area nearby the hotel without worrying about the car parking as it is very spacious and free of charge for hotel guests. We also enjoyed the gym and the swimming pool, which now already equipped with a small roof around it to protect us from direct sunlight. The minus point is the crowded hotel lifts, but they already activated all 3 available lifts so not much can be done to resolve this issue (unless they plan to build more lifts in the future).

Thank you for Novotel Samator hospitality, I did enjoy during my 2nd stay in here also they indeed recognize their member loyalty while stay here. Room was spacious and in the corner room, welcome amenities was perfect. I did enjoy room and my breakfast. Few things need to improve I hope for my next stay i.e. : 1. Please make sure a towel on wash basin did not have a stain, I saw one of it. 2. During breakfast I hope kitchen staff could remind guest to wear mask or wear it properly while they queue for food serving because I saw 2 person did not wear mask and wear it properly and talking with food serving staff while choose their food (This just my suggestion because this for ours own good during pandemic). Thank you

Novotel has been a standard of how I choose a hotel. All love and standards started with Novotel Semarang long-long time ago, to the moment where almost all of the staffs know who I am. I tried Novotel Ngagel Surabaya some years ago... this one not that bad, but not quite "Novotel". Last week I stayed on Novotel Samator Surabaya for the first time. Two nights. I changed room after the first night because of the shower problem. Not so big deal problem, and they helped to move my stuffs into the new room anyway. "What dissatisfied me in this hotel?", "What failed me this time?". Nothing. I could not complain about anything. You have high standard as always, Novotel... Keep it up!

I stayed at the Novotel room suite room there are red stains on the blankets and mattress sheets when it was replaced it turned out that there was the same thing the third time it was replaced and just clean the quality of the very black towels is not suitable for a 4 star hotel for access to the side door of the hotel to the car park lift is very easy to access but is often locked only open when it rains I was locked at night without notification from the security guard for the security guard there is no friendly and smile for the room because I chose the suite, of course it was spacious and spacious but my bathroom window leaks when it rains room 2105

Pros : 1. Quick check in, helpful receptionist. I accidentally left my ID and member card and they sent it to my room. 2. First impression when i entered the room : it was Ok, nice room, quite spacious 3. The AC was freezing but it's OK 4. Wifi was OK 5. Hot water was OK Cons : 1. I found a piece of french fries hidden inside some decoration in the desk and I also found used tissue hidden in the sofa. And when I turned over a pillow, there was little stain on the sheets. 2. They charged me for delivering food that I ordered outside by online apps so I had to go down and get it myself. 3. No small towel and tissue paper on sink area. 4. Shower area quite slippery

Modern hotel to enjoy a short pleasant stay in Surabaya

Novotel Samator is a new modern hotel strategically located near MERR in East Surabaya. We received a special Accor member rate for our booking to stay in the Superior room in here. Upon checked-in, the receptionist offered us an upgrade to a Deluxe room. The in-room facilities are clean and superb. The variety of breakfast is offered following a thorough safe and health protocol. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool, although we think that it's better if the pool area can have some big umbrellas to cover some couches from direct sunlight. The toilet's sewage in the pool area was clogged and should be clean more often. The 3rd elevator should be activated during peak hours on Sunday morning. Slight improvement is also needed in terms of staff proactiveness, even though most of them are already friendly. Free overnight parking is provided for 1 car, but need to carefully ensure to exit the parking area only from the 3rd gate nearby the entrance gate. Overall, it was a very good short stay for us and we hope the hotel is already improved when we return to stay in the future.

Hotel is not located at the most convenient place, hence it is cheaper than other hotels in city centre. I stayed for 2 nights. My room was clean and looked new, but my bigger problem was with the soft products. - you would normally expect to see new, unopened bottles of shower gel and shampoo when you check in to your room, but this was not the case for us. Although the shampoo was new and sealed, the shower gel was opened and half emptied already when we checked into the room. - no hand towels were provided, only the bath towels and the floor towel when we checked in - tea bags were not replenished - dirty towels were taken away, but the forgot to replace with clean towels. When we called front desk requesting for the towels, they did bring us bath and hand towels. Even though the staff were friendly, those details did let us down.

I stay with family for family holiday and this is our repeat stay. Room is clean, modern, but in the bottom of sofa, I find many dust, like no clean up. breakfast is various menu. I recommend not stay in low floor (5,6,7,8,9,10) up and near swimming pool, cause in evening, they have live music/bar music that sound is loudly and still hear from your room aand I cannot sleep well when stay in this room ( last my stay get room No.715)

A brand new Novotel Business hotel in Surabaya. Very recommended as carpets are new , clean, fresh. Rain shower is great. Bed quality is superb. No complain for this stay. Breakfast was fabulous and lots of variety

The rooms are excellent and the hotel very well maintained. Huge disappointment though on the food. Quality of ingredients is not up to the standards. Some food is never available. The menu needs a complete make-over, with fresh ingredients and quality food.

Room was spacious and clean. Eventhough there is no nearby restaurants except hotel restaurant downstairs we can still order food outside with no problem. Breakfast was excellent with various menu served.

First rate physical facilities and hospitality compensate for remoteness feeling

The surrounding of Surabaya's Novotel Samator creates a feeling of remoteness. This is not to say that the location is far from main interests, no, Novotel Samator is close to the growing and prosperous East Surabaya's main interests, including prominent university (ITS), shopping centers, and quality culinary posts. However that feeling is compensated by first rate physical facilities, utmost hospitality from hotel staffs, spacious lay out, and tranquil ambience.

Hotel was nice , clean , fresh, because it's new (this article was published on Aug 2018).Bedsheet very clean & fresh. Also the carpet & all amenities.Breakfast food was fair, and I was expecting "tastier" & also was expecting "deep flavored" foods.Coffee bean quality in breakfast restaurant need to be upgraded to better coffee beans, as I am coffee connoisseur.The staffs were (are) still new , I was "expecting" friendlier smile and atmosphere from them (meaning front office staff & restaurant staff), as a standard from Accor Hospitality. Hopefully it would be better in coming weeks as I may stay again to see the improvement. Final thought : I enjoy staying at this hotel.

Quite interesting with this hotel. Finally, AccorHotels hv new and fresh property in Surabaya. Everything almost perfect for quality of accommodation and the facilites. The staff need more humble, friendly, and professional. You can make your F&B taste better. Ask for a room as high as possible, with view of city of Surabaya. Enjoy sunset from ur room. Prepare yourself with snack and/or beverage, quite difficult to find minimarket/shop/restaurant in this area. This hotel ideal for business, because the location close to industrial park.

Kindness, Friendliness, Comfort and Cozy are the best words to describe our stay few weeks ago at Novotel Samator in Surabaya. The hotel has a nice open-spaced ambience at the lobby and restaurant. My best experience was I received the first class treatment from everybody who worked there starting from the concierge team who greeted me and assisted taking care of my luggage while i was checking in, good hospitality of the front desk staff and restaurant staff.. We were offered for comlimentary welcome drinks at the restaurant while waiting for check in process. Not to forget to mention the duty manager & front desk staffs, Ms putri & Ms claudia who assisted us during the check in process and upgraded our room to premier room. Thank you Novotel Samator for a warm welcome & comfortable stay. We look forward to staying back at Novotel Samator for our trip to Surabaya in future.
