The room was quiet and clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the washbasin really only got hot water once the shower had been running and then it wasn't for long. The washbasin surround was also very tatty and there was no toilet brush. Incidentally, there was no information in the room at all about hotel services or how to operate the heating.

I was attending an event (wedding celebration) and the problems I had booking said room soured my view of the hotel before I attended. It took two phone calls from me, a promised call back three days later that did not happen (I was unavailable in the interim) and a subsequent call from me that still failed to secure me a room. I was advised to call back the next day as, apparently, the one person who could book me a room with a discount code for the event was absent! It took another phone call from the bride herself to get the room booked. Had I been able to do it online, I suspect it would not have been a problem but I was following the instruction to ring directly as it was associated with an event. That said, the celebration itself was wonderful; the food excellent at both the main dinner and evening event; the room comfortable and the staff warm, friendly and helpful, which did much to change my view for the better.

We went to a friend's wedding celebration and the staff were efficient and on the ball, especially the bar staff. We had a problem with our room safe but it was dealt with quickly & efficiently. All the food we had at the hotel was very tasty. It's a shame the mattress was so uncomfortable. I felt I had to lay in the same position as everyone else that ever slept on that bed & my husband found it lumpy & sagging.
