Ibis without Styles

Definitely the nicest Ibis I have ever stayed at, but most do not have ‘Styles’ in their name. Rather pricey, but this stay was only booked a few days before the stay, and comparable on price at the time to other Brisbane Hotels. Booked two rooms for myself and a business colleague, one was ready at 12pm the other wasn’t ready till the normal 2pm. Both had great views and were a nice size. Fixed toiletries which I hate. As an Accor Platinum member, I expected more than one welcome drink, usually receive two per room. No welcome treat, usually a fruit platter and chocolate box, nothing. First stay at an Accor property where I haven’t received something. Not even bottles of complementary water. Great location to Queens Street Mall & the new Casino precinct. Though a bit of a walk to Eagle Street Pier & Howard Smith Wharves. Buffet Breakfast was terrible, with watery and runny scrambled eggs, there just didn’t seem like much to choose from. Spreads like vegemite and peanut butter consisted of open jars with communal knives in them for everyone to share the same knife, most un-appealing. Pastries were terrible in choice and taste. Only cold meat was ham. Only orange juice was filled, though had 4 juice selections, terrible fruit. Most staff (except one) seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves then be attentive to food available or the guests. Barista made coffee came with a cost, which is most unusual, for any Hotel I have stayed, Accor or not. Great wifi throughout. If you need a nice room in Brisbane, Ibis Styles is fine. But don’t expect much more, and don’t leave it to book at the last minute, as this stay was a genuine rip off. Reception staff were friendly, though only interaction was for checkin, using fast checkout when I left. If I was a non-Accor member, I would not have the same expectations, but I am, hence the lower grade.

A bright and colourful hotel, better than your average Ibis and a reasonable rate for the location and quality. Room was clean, modern, rather compact but with a comfortable king bed. Walk-in shower with good water pressure. Effective and quiet air-con - needed in Brisbane! Colourful bar/restaurant, a nice spot for a quiet drink. Breakfast is a reasonable price (using Accor Plus card) for what is offered - not an extensive buffet but has all the hot and cold basics. Can get very busy and noisy at certain times! Good service, nice and friendly staff. Location is great, close to city shopping, food offerings, the river and southbank, and the new casino. The main downsides were that there was always a wait for the lifts, and on Friday night music could be heard from the bars around it, even on the 24th floor. Definitely recommend a river view room - view is wonderful day and night.

Really good spot to stay. We chose a river view and were directly opposite the wheel and Brisbane sign on the South Bank. Great evening views with the lights on opposite. The room itself was a little small to what we expected especially as it was a superior room. But it was near to everything we wanted. Only gripes would be the WiFi as we lost connections number of times and the smart tv froze at same time. The other thing would be the reception was sometimes down to only one person and as it is a busy hotel, you sometimes had to queue to be seen and that could take a while if stuck behind someone else checking in for example. They were the only issues. Staff were great and we used the restaurant a couple of times and food was good and well priced. If we ever go to Brisbane again, we would be happy to stay there again, nice spot

I first found it difficult to find this hotel as it wasn't extremely well signposted. However once I arrived I was checked in smoothly and had a very nice convenient room. Even though the wifi was a little bit inconsistent. The other thing that was bit of a let down was the hotel actually ran out of city maps so I did have a bit of difficulty navigating the city whenever I went out and couldn't stray too far from the hotel. They did recommend an information centre nearby where they had maps but by the time I got there, that was closed too. However I would happily stay at this hotel again because of how helpful and friendly the staff were

Perfect CBD location, spacious rooms with great views, close to attractions and shopping, excellent service.

Perfect Location, Great Stay! I had a pleasant stay at Ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the CBD. The room was spacious with excellent amenities and a super view overlooking the Brisbane River and The Wheel of Brisbane, which was a real treat. The hotel is conveniently located near all major tourist attractions, and transportation options are easily accessible. I loved that Coles supermarket is just next door in the Uptown shopping mall, making it easy to grab essentials. Queen Street Mall is also just a short walk away, perfect for shopping and dining. The room service was great, and the staff were very accommodating. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Brisbane. Highly recommend! -
