Mercure Portsea Golf Club is an iconic place to stay. Set amidst a golf course, the hotel does not have an abundance of rooms, giving guests a greater welcoming ambience. Our room was spacious with a private balcony that overlooked the golf course, king size bed and separate bathroom with upmarket toiletries. There is an on-site restaurant (operated by the Golf Club) where hotel guests can dine & enjoy the view of the golf course from the balcony. Meals are quite affordable. Being away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Sorrento, the hotel is super quiet at night & we were wakened with birdsong each morning. From our balcony we spotted fairy wrens, kookaburras, red lobed wattle birds amidst the native flora that defines each section of the golf course. A short drive to Sorrento for great shopping and fine dining and a short drive to amazing beaches with crystal clear water for swimming. National Parks are nearby with many walking trails to suit all levels of fitness - one could easily spend a week here - doing something different each day - maybe even playing golf! We hope to visit again one day as we enjoyed our time here very much.

I haven’t had the chance to stay yet, but I was so impressed with the service I received during the booking process. Katie was incredibly friendly, and made everything so easy. Her help gave me confidence in my choice, and I’m really looking forward to my stay based on such excellent customer service!

Nice quiet hotel located a few minutes drive from Portsea and Point Nepean National Park. The room was large and clean. We had an outdoor veranda with table and chairs. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Free and plentiful parking. We enjoyed our stay here.

Mercure Portsea is attached to the Portsea Golf Club. Our room was quite comfortable. Nice bed spacious bathroom and a small Balcony. We had a nice view over the course and towards the sea . The golf club next door has some reasonably priced options for breakfast but doesn’t stay open for dinner. Our room was not cleaned very well there was a lot of dust in the bathroom near the vanity and the bed had been made incorrectly with no sheet placed under the doona . I fixed this as 2 sheets had been put on the other side. Unfortunately I could not report this to reception as they close quite early. A nice spot but you will need a car and there is minimal recognition of Accor Status or access to benefits.

Great little Mercure right inside Portsea Gold Club. Amazing view from the room over looking the golf course and Portsea. Quick little drive up the road to Portsea Hotel - great pub delicious food and plenty of beers on tap. My room was modern clean and perfectly appointed..everything on hand, tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Hair dryer/iron &board. Desk plenty of power points/usb etc. big flat screen tv Foxtel and wireless screen share options. Great little deck with table and chairs over looking course. The bed was super comfy, room was quiet, dark and warm. Breakfast was served in the ‘Spike Bar’ it was freshly cooked to order and delicious. Lunch is also served here - Only down side they made not open for dinner but there are plenty of local eateries for dinner. Communication from Kerrie at hotel before and during our stay was excellent and thorough. I would highly recommend a stay here when next in Portsea.
