I cannot understand how thus hotel is 4 star. Although the staff are friendly, the decore is dated and tired. Furniture changes can be seen by the old dents in the carpet. The restaurant is a joke! I have seen better selection at a road side café . Not worth the price, or 4 stars. 2 or 3 at a pinch.

I stayed at the Mercure Great Danes Hotel for over a month whilst i waited for my new house keys. I can honestly say, Nina, Steve, Tia & Poppy each went out of their way, above and beyond, on multiple occasions to try and make my stay as comfortable as possible, and they did exactly that. I am convinced my stay that was around a very stressful time would not of been the same if the above named individuals were not on the front desk. I am very grateful to you all and you all serve the hotel very proud. I’ll be popping in for a chat when passing. Keep it up!

My first stay at The Great Danes was over 45 years ago and we have visited dozens of times since then. We have had parties, afternoon teas, we stayed over for Christmas Day one year and now I am attending a wake. Every time we have visited the Great Danes over the years we have had a great time. I have just finished my cooked breakfast and I can honestly say that of all the places I have stayed around the world, for me, it is absolutely the best. Thank you for keeping the place and the people so special.

The Mercure Maidstone Hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay with a mix of modern amenities and classic charm. Located in a quiet area just outside Maidstone town center, it provides easy access to major roads, making it ideal for both business and leisure. The hotel’s surroundings are scenic, with a beautiful garden and peaceful atmosphere. We stayed over as we was drinking in the evening at the event that was being hosted . We was greeted by a lovely lady called Nina who was extremely friendly and helpful with our many questions.. lol . On the downside the room was a bit dated but wasn’t really an issue for us as we was only staying for 1 night . We had a great time at the event apart from one other who spoiled the atmosphere by breaking the djs speakers. A special thank you to Ali for sneaking us an extra tart as we wasn’t to fond of the cheesecake and Rocco for bringing me coffee as the girls forgot our table. Jack also for bringing my husband his drinks and giving him directions . The boys was super friendly and seem to make a great asset to the hotel if only the others would take note .

Had a fantastic time at the event on Wednesday. Ali and Rocco was very helpful with serving our table and all of our requests nothing was too much trouble for them, with getting our drinks from the bar and making teas and coffees for the ladies. We will definitely be using this venue for our next business meeting .
