Excellent place to eat and drink

My husband and I went for a lovely meal tonight. The restaurant wasn’t opened but we were able to have it at their lovely lounge which it has a lovely deco, very warm and welcoming. At the bar Ainhoa and Bharath were serving tonight. Ainhoa brought as the menu, very welcoming and attentive. She was very helpful with the menu and giving us recommendations. We have a couple sharing starters. The Spanish meatballs were tasty. I had the Tom’s steak ale pie which was delicious and the warm chocolate fondant also very good. We had our Cockapoo with us too as it is dog friendly and Bharath was so kind to bring him a bowl of water. The atmosphere couldn’t be faulted, lovely and calm with very nice music played on. It is certainly a place I highly recommend. Many parking places around and very central and close to Perth Cinema, other pubs and High Street.

Really do not like writing negative reviews about hotel stays, but can only echo some of the reviews from previous guests. To start on a positive note, the staff are friendly enough although some would benefit from further hospitality training.Room was tired looking and the bathroom was pretty appalling, and the shower kept cutting out . My wife stripped the bed when we were leaving to assist the domestics and we were shocked at the state of the duvet as it had what appeared to be blood stains and also brown marks on it . Dining experience in the evening was a bit hit and miss. Down to a mixture of what appeared to be staffing issues one night-and catering for private function on another night.Breakfast experience was however good. Did pass this on to reception staff at checkout who were very pleasant. Hotel is in a good location, but do not think we will stay here again, which is a pity as we frequently visit Perth to go to the theatre.

Tired shabby hotel - avoid

This is a really tired old hotel. The rooms are shabby, with tatty furniture, mouldy tiling in the bathroom, and stained wallpaper. It’s long overdue a refurbishment. The walls are thin and noise travels easily between rooms. I was very disappointed to pay £100 per night to stay here. Jeb is a platinum member of Accor’s ALL loyalty scheme. Under the rules of this scheme, members are supposed to receive an upgrade to the best available room, a welcome drink and an amenity in the room. None of this was provided in Perth. I was also very surprised to read that there is no housekeeping service unless you leave.p a door hanger outside your room to request this - I’ve seen the reverse of this (eg skip the clean if you wish) but haven’t been opted out since Covid - the excuse for this is ‘saving the environment’ but I think we all know it’s about saving the hotel owners money. On the upside, I found the staff on reception and at breakfast to be friendly. However I would not return to this hotel unless it had a significant refurbishment. In its current state it is letting down the Accor chain and the Mercure brand.

Good location

We're arrived at the hotel just in time to get some dinner in the Bar area. Nice warm atmosphere with good range of drinks and food. Service was attentive too. Average rooms, slow WiFi. However it will suffice if it's only an overnight stay in a central location.

Do not go here if you have mobility issues

Don’t go here if u have any mobility issues as there is no lifts to access the function suite u have to climb 2 flights of stairs and if u needed the bathroom it was down a fight of stairs. The ladies toilet smelled strongly of urine. Not a great experience
