Great hotel & stay

We booked this hotel as attending a wedding in Troon. Which was only a 20 min taxi journey, £30 in total. Arrived late evening & staff were friendly & welcoming. Room was big & we had a fantastic view of Ayr beach and the sea. We were staying for 3 nights & included breakfast in our stay. Good value for money & when showing our friends the hotel, they ended up changing to here from where they had originally booked, due to the price difference. Breakfast was brilliant, so much choice & again, friendly staff working the breakfast area. Location is really accessible, 10 min walk from the train station & easy to find by drive. Only downfall was the parking. The hotel carpark is accessible to all but at a discounted rate for staying in the hotel. In my opinion, if you've already paid to stay in the hotel, parking should be free if they have their own parking area. But it was only £7 a day which is cheap compared to some places I've parked in. All in all, a fantastic stay!

BE AWARE OF SLY PARKING CHARGES. The unhelpful and discourteous manner in this hotel is appalling.

This hotel parking is appalling. First you have to pay for the £7 privilege, then you don't get advised that there is a further rigmarole to go through to ensure that Smart Parking doesn't charge you again! They hit us twice! I got an amazingly poor response from the Front Ofiice manager who implied that mt wife was a liar, and that her staff "always tell customers of the procedures to go through". There wasn't even a hint of help being offered. I am appalled that Mercure, who are usuakky pretty good are happy with this hotel. Looking at the reviews about this, of which there are a few, I expect to get a copy and pasted response which shows the level of contempt for customers that they have here!

No explanation of Hotel facilities upon check-in. Room was ok furniture has seen better days but it was clean. Bathroom small and toilet tight against the wall so not excatly comfortable fixed shower screen and no grab handle doesn't make it easy to get in and out of the bath. Breakfast was just ok nothing special food was Luke warm at best. Breakfast staff could do with some customer focused training. Reception and bar staff very friendly always greeted me with a smile. Would visit again but hotel could do with an upgrade.

Hotel razoavel, café da manha pobre com pouca variedade e preço elevado, quarto médio. Sistema de alarme de incendio dispara com frequencia. Excelente localização, perto do downtown, com muitas opções de restaurantes e comercio variado.

Localização boa (taxi da estação pra la é rápido e barato). Hotel bom e o bar é excelente. Porem as atendestes da recepção estavam totalmente despreparadas para nos dar orientações turísticas. Perguntamos sobre o que fazer na cidade e a resposta foi desanimadora, alem de tudo indicou errado a localização da estação de ônibus. Mas no demais o hotel vale a pena e a área de lazer é muito boa!
