Inexperienced Staff

After arriving at 3.20am due to our flight being delayed, we kindly asked for a later checkout at 12 instead of the 11am as we had previously had before. To be told by 2 boys on reception that it would cost us an additional £50.00 I asked if he was joking as this was outrageous and he said no that it had changed. No free late check outs anymore. This was the tall boy with long hair doing the talking. I think called Daniel. I told him to forget it and that I wasn’t happy especially arriving so late and only looking for a longer lie in. We then had the cleaner knock us up at 9.40am in the morning trying to get in to clean. Left the hotel at 11am and spoke to a lovely girl Caitlin who said that the charge should not have been £50.00 there is actually a note in your room to say that they will do there best to arrange a late check out when asked. After leaving such a good review back on 7th September it just shows if you don’t have the right staff on front desk who don’t know what they are talking about you will lose your loyal guests. Maybe the young boy needs training again how to speak and mange guests when they arrive.

Glad to see there has been some refurbishment at this hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Warm and inviting reception/bar/restaurant. We had a much improved, newly decorated room, though the finish could be better. Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, great hot shower and fluffy towels. Housekeeping is very good. Breakfast has an excellent range of hot and cold food and drink served buffet style- delicious but I missed the tattie scones! Will stay again next time we’re in Livingstone!

Rebecca at reception is super helpful and very welcoming! I wasn't feeling too well, so she me water to the room and was very accommodating.

£19 for half fish and chips won't be back

Stayed the night for our yearly xmas shopping trip. Nice reception bar and restaurant area staff are all friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast was fabulous rooms are very dated loose soap in the bathroom missing bulb above the bed. Used the restaurant for evening meal £19.50 for half a fish and chips safe to say i won't be back. Hotel is very handy if shopping as its 5 minutes away.
