I came to Mercure hotel on 29th December. This is my third stay at Mercure. I choose to stay at Mercure because the hospitality and the kindness of the staff. I’m very happy with the Rooms, services, restaurant, and the crew. Specially thanks to Rohan who was the reception today. He was very kind and friendly. and of course the young lady at the restaurant. Sorry I forgot the name. She was very kind and friendly too. She treats everyone very well. Too busy to make us happy. 預訂了家庭房，但到check in時前枱通知已經沒有家庭房，只能提供兩間雙人房。開門時發現房間較我預訂的細，還有沖涼時沒有熱水，通知前枱後只有回覆我“多謝你通知我們房間沒有熱水”。

This is the third year running we’ve stayed here as a base to visit nearby family. Both previous times I’ve commented on the need for refurbishment, it’s very 90’s. Our room was a ‘privilege’ room but was in the worst condition of the 3 we’ve stayed in. The curtains need replacing, the linings have been repaired several times but still in tatters. The wallpaper has peeling edges in several places, carpet has many stains. One ceiling down light bulb not working, (there are only 3), one bedside light and the desk light not working, meaning all lights on or one bedside lamp on. Reported this to reception who offered to try and find us another room but we’d already unpacked. Leisure facilities still closed 3rd year running. Good points- clean, great staff, lovely breakfast, soft drinks in fridge, good location

2nd time at this hotel visited last year and at hotel just now big different in a year booked an upgraded room but it was damp paper coming off walls etc not worth 100 and 25 pounds a night food a lot worse than only plus point staff still very good but needs updated noticed a big difference in a year

Arranged a works festive dinner for 17 people which was held in a private room. Just like others the décor could do with being brought into the 20th centaury. The room itself had 2 ceiling decorations the table was set with some Christmas candles n tinsel with the usual crockery and glasses. What was disappointing was one the windows was not cover by curtains but an old piece of net which had seen better days. The food on the whole was good but the service unfortunately was not. We never received any drinks until after the starters had arrived the drinks glasses not in use were not removed from the table neither was the side plates which were on the table until we left. Trying to get additional rounds of drinks also proved difficult I just don't think that they had enough staff in to be able to cope with the service between our function and other customers elsewhere in the hotel. Staff who were working were very pleasant and did what they could to accommodate our function. We had paid extra to have tea / coffee and mince pies and although the drinks arrived no mince pies. I did however get what I had paid extra for them back.
