Arrived mind afternoon to a warm and friendly greeting from the gentleman on reception. Informed us of everything we needed to know and even assist with getting around for the games. We had a fantastic room on the 7th floor with amazing views. Got a little sun burnt one morning and mentioned this in passing to a team member. Without asking we had 4 pots of yogurt brought to our room which saved the day! Highly recommended as great location for city and city breaks. Easy parking at moor street and great value for city centre. Can’t wait to come back 😁

We booked our room last year to celebrate our anniversary in the city. On arrival we were greeted by staff in a warm and friendly manor. We were early for check in but the staff member said he would call us when the room was ready. Check in was quick and pleasant again the lady was very friendly and welcoming. We were told that we had a twin but they arranged the beds to make it a double. Unfortunately when we did go to bed each time we moved together the bed parted and on one occasion I ended up on the floor. A possible trip to A&E was not the way I wanted to celebrate our anniversary. We informed the staff the following day and were told they were fully booked with the commonwealth games being on. The staff member asked if we could check later on the day in case there was a cancellation. The room overlooked the church and bullring which was lovely when lit up at night. It was also very quiet despite being full. As stated in a previous review there was a slight hum from the fuse box but this wasn't an issue. The room and kitchen was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. One of the towels in the bathroom however was not clean. It had been laundered but these stains were obviously permanent. This was not a big issue as there were plenty of others there if needed and I'm sure they would have changed them if we had asked. Overall location is good,staff extremely welcoming and room is fine. we would probably stay here again but not if its a special occasion.

Don't Use Travel Up

We booked an apartment 10 months ago to go with a Commonwealth games trip we were an hour away from setting off for this morning. I went into my emails by chance before we left to find an email from Travel up advising that the hotel was overbooked and offering us a completely unsuitable alternative out of the city. That they can cancel on the day and hide behind an email without a name on it, not a phone call shows complete contempt for us as the customer. My wife is in a wheelchair, which is why we are careful and book places well in advance. We were due to go to the Athletics, Beach Volleyball, a Meal and Cher at the Hippodrome this evening with little gaps between and will now have to cancel the trip - DONT USE TRAVEL UP

Great base for exploring, friendly staff and an amazing room. Clean, modern and ample space. Everything you need. Iron, hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, drying rack, dishwasher, large fridge, safe, and comfy beds. Perfect, quiet and safe. Will be go to place whenever in Birmingham or in Europe from now on.

One set of towel for 7 days !

We have paid £230 per night & stay for a week. We are told only one set of towel is provided. All extra towel need to be paid. Unexpected rules in a hotel or aparthotel. We paid more on apart set up but not have penalties on normal hotel services. By luck we can have toilet rolls😵😵😵

At Adagio Birmingham we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. At the time of booking and on hotel polices it clearly states that extra towels and cleaning is at a charge as we are an aparthotel. You receive 4 large towels initially and extra fresh towels are given during your weekly clean, your length of stay is taken into account. Extra toilet rolls are available at Reception free of charge and is explained to you on your arrival, so I believe this is an unfair comment to make.
