What can one say. The hotel is centrally located with an easy walk yo Insadong shopping, metro station, buchon village and a monastery. Resteraunts are everywhere with plenty of choice and 2 convenience stores within 50 metres. Beds are soft and rooms are very clean. Staff are so helpful and eager to make your stay a good one. Plenty of tour brochures on display. Breakfast caters to most choices. I stayed in 1019 which had Great air-conditioning , easy access to roof top garden, and water pressure in shower very good. I will stay again.

This hotel is in a good location, very close to many shops, restaurants, dessert bars, some historical sites and the like. The rooms were standard size and generally clean, but dated. Apart from people talking in the hall, it was quiet. Our room had a fancy Korean loo, which was an experience - in a good way! The aircon was not effective. We stayed on two rooms on different occasions and it was warm (up to 28 degrees at night), despite the fan being on high. Our windows were bolted shut, although others told us they could open those in their rooms. It also made me wonder how the fire plan was supposed to work!! There is no aircon in the halls either, so they can be stifling too. Breakfast was ok. Don’t go at 8.15 as it’s packed. Note that if you’re an Accor Plus member and on a group tour, you can’t use access any benefits or gain points. This was annoying given we’d picked a tour that went to Accor hotels. We’ve stayed at many Ibis hotels around the world and appreciate it is for those on a budget, but this wasn’t one of the better ones.

It’s also wonderful to know that the unique experience with the Korean loo in your room was a positive one. However, I am truly sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the air conditioning and that your room was warmer than expected. Please accept my apologies for the discomfort this caused. Our hotel's heating and cooling system is centrally controlled, and due to the continued heatwave this summer, the cooling efficiency in the rooms may have been compromised. We are aware of this issue and are working to improve our system to better handle extreme weather conditions. I would also like to clarify that all our rooms do have windows that can be opened. If you encountered any issues with the functionality of the room's amenities, it should have been reported internally for repair. We are strengthening this process and will conduct a comprehensive inspection of all rooms to ensure everything is in proper working order. And we prioritize the safety of our guests above all else, conducting regular fire drills and system inspections. Regarding your breakfast experience, we apologize for the overcrowding at peak times and will work on improving the guest flow to enhance your experience. Your feedback about the Accor Plus membership benefits is also noted. Please understand that point accumulation and membership benefits are only applicable for direct bookings. Unfortunately, this policy does not extend to group tours or bookings made through other channels. We appreciate your loyalty to the ibis brand and are sorry that your stay with us did not meet the high standards you’ve come to expect. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will be using it to make necessary improvements. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you better in the future. Such a lovely stay, it was a first time staying at the Ibis near the Ikseondong hanok village, it’s literally in-front of it, such a convenient location. The bed is nice and soft, and we just really enjoyed the stay. Our check-in procedure was great, our receptionist Joseph, was so professional and talented, he could speak both languages from our country despite being Korean, so cool. He also welcomed us and made sure to appreciate our Accor loyalty, and give us such a lovely room. He gave good recommendations that made the trip so much easier. Thank you, we appreciate it. We hope to come back again with our family.
