Far from any 5 star standard, worn out rooms, dirty carpets and difficult to reach reception, room and concierge service. Throughout the hotel, especially in the spa area but also in the rooms, odor from the drains or fecal odor. Egg dishes at breakfast partly inedible, sparse supply of bread and fresh fruit.

nice place to stay Improvement in variety for breakfast (since every day the same things) Forgot a cell phone in the room at check out, hotel found it but did not call or email me until we found out hours later.

No concierge and lack of helpful personnel to obtain theater, tickets in advance and dinner reservations. The restaurant is good, but not great. If this hotel aspires to be the very best in a large city such as Montevideo, it needs improvement

Coffe capsules

I asked for a coffee capsule and the hotel wanted to charge me 11 dollars for it. For a recurrent guest that spends 600 dollars in a stay, I believe charging for coffee capsules is uncalled for.

Hotel building is nice. Room is in need of minor repairs - door on window loose, paint touch ups needed, bathroom / toilet area smells badly. restaurant (1921?) was excellent.
