I booked two rooms through Accor web for my families, requesting higher floors. Instead, they gave the rooms on the 2nd floor. The wifi was not easily connected, so my families ended up using their mobile data to connect to internet. On the booking receipt, it is STATED that the rooms were already paid (by my credit card) and no amount of money should be paid in the hotel. Surprisingly, my family was asked to pay when checking in, saying that the credit card was only for booking guarantee. In that case, they (on the receipt from the web) should not have STATED otherwise! It is really embarrassing and not smooth to book this hotel through Accor web. This experience is really disappointing.

It's Good, but Not the Best

This was my second time staying at this hotel. My first experience (a few years ago) was bad; as I was charged twice by the FO. For my second experience, I found the check-in/check-out process were quick & efficient, the room was very basic - even there is no chiller in the room, to keep my drinks cold. The Internet connection was lousy. There were times when I found it very difficult just to access Google. But, what makes me really disappointed was the fact that the hotel staff were very ignorant to the implementation of health protocol & safety standard imposed by the government. When I spent 30 mins in the lobby, there were MANY PEOPLE - some guests, and even some hotel staff - walk on by around the lobby without wearing face masks. Those guests talked to the receptionists without wearing masks and the staff didn't say anything about it. Well, no wonder the receptionist didn't say anything to the guests, as some other staff didn't wear face mask as well while they were in the lobby. Is this the standards held by Ibis - or Accor Groups - in their hotels? Ignoring the health protocols imposed by the government - and ignoring the safety and the wellbeing of the guests?

Air condiotiner problem not cool and little warm perhaps temp 24 celcius or above and towels dirty looked grey, not for body mightby only for floor , I thought never happen during we stayed in accor group hotel network for years

I always love Accor Hotels for their excellent services. Ibis City Center Surabaya is located on the main street of Surabaya and very close to the shopping center. Only some small improvement needed in this hotel, they need to check on hotel equipment more often and replace the water closet for there were some cracks that may cause danger to the user.

Good hotel, good location, very near to the city center, walking distance to one of the biggest mall in Surabaya, in which you can find food and other services easily. Clean room and bathroom as well. Breakfast is good too.

The hotel is nice, the location is also accessible. But please be informed that the towel should be prepared properly. The hotel gave me towel which are not white colour anymore. The colour was turned 'ivory" because it was too old.

I would like to start by thanking the hotel staff who were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located near the heart of the city which is very easy to move around. The common areas in the hotel are clean and spacious. Rooms are as to be expected of Ibis, which mostly have similar layout. They are cleaned and the beds were also very comfortable and clean. However, the bath towels needed to be change entirely. They were blackened and some with stains on it. We do not know what was the stain from, some were black stains and other were brownish. We tried to change to others by requesting another set from the housekeeping however after 5 - 6 times changing, all were in the same conditions. All in all, the hotel service was excellent, staffs were very friendly and helpful, just the towels that were in need of change.

I come to this hotel quite regularly. I just realised that the concierge or security at the the lobby did not help the guess specially the one with luggage. I can manage my own but it would be good if the helpfulness was given to the customers.

The location is the bonus, the main reason to go to ibis Surabaya City Center is the guaranteed comfort you'll get! I stayed there for 2 nights and I wish I have extra off day just to keep sleeping in the room. The room concept is really unique, the bathroom is definitely my favorite. Very very clean room and comfortable bed. Great experience!

Good location (city center), close to mall and restaurant. Appropriate room rate and good services. A bit crowded when there were function / activities in the lobby area. Breakfast menu need to be improved (couldn't find cheese, sweetener)

Ibis SCC is very close to Tunjungan Plaza and also the typical souvenir center of east java. Good service from Front Office. Delicious morning breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Trust me.

I like how my room was arranged, desk and shelves are enough for two person. I went with my business partner. We never shared a room before and this room made it easy for us to do that. I'm not really sure that my sheets were clean though, but we worked until late and I was too tired to be bothered with that.
