The building is absolutely stunning so much so that walking tours usually stop by to take pictures of the courtyard. It could totally be a movie set for something like the 3 musketeers. for Xmas, they had it all decorated which added to the magic. The rooms are very nice and perfectly sound proofed. The location is unbeatable especially if you go during the Xmas markets season: you are literally across the river from the "Grande ile" which is the small historical district of Strasbourg where all the markets are: much easier to arrive at the hotel by car as the island itself is mostly closed and super busy. My wife and I didn't try the breakfast but my kids said it was really good (stollen cakes...). But beyond all that, the most incredible part of this hotel is the staff... I worked with them for months ahead of the trip to organize things and they were absolutely fantastic. During the stay, they had all sorts of little attentions and surprises to make the stay more special. It might be a 4* hotel on paper but the experience really feels more like a 5*. I would not even look at any other hotel if I had to go back to Strasbourg Merci!

We arrived a couple of hours before usual check in time to a warm greeting and our premium room was ready which was great. The room was exceptional , very clean and well presented with lots of space, a large and comfortable bed which we slept very well in and a good sized bathroom. The shower was in the bath and a slight struggle to use because of positioning.The room temperature controls were great, easy to use and actually worked very well. Apart from our neighbours who seemed to like slamming their door the room was really quiet and no disturbances through the night. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice and exceptional staff and the room was then the comfortable lounge bar for the afternoon and evening. All the staff were helpful and friendly and there was a really relaxed and comfortable ambience at the hotel.It was a great pleasure to return here after being out and the location right across the bridge from the central old town island was perfect. The history and layout of the hotel is fascinating and the approach through the outside courtyard is a real pleasure to experience. We noticed a couple of small group tours actually came to the courtyard to see the history and take photographs. We loved everything about this hotel and we really appreciate having had the opportunity to spend some time there. It will certainly remain in our memories as a special place and if you have the opportunity to stay there we highly recommend you do.

Wonderful stay. Rooms were immaculate with everything you could need. Comfy beds and large bathroom with separate loo. A bit of a struggle for me to get in and out of the bath but worth it! The staff were so helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best ever. We were driving and arrived at night and found getting to the hotel and finding the car park difficult to say the least despite the helpful emails from the hotel The staff were wonderful although we looked quite mad. Paid for valet parking in the end 2 x 12 Euro extra. Advice. Drop car at the carpark and walk to the hotel. Saves messing with barriers.

great location in the middle of Strasberg, comfotable restored location

Could not think of a better place to start as to the location, comfort, price or service. This was an elegant/private hotel, in the middle of everything. t is within walking distance to central Strasbourg, its sites, and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful hotel located in the heart of the town. Gorgeous hotel grounds. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was ready upon our arrival. Large room with a huge bathroom and closet space. Very comfortable bed. Would absolutely stay there again.
