Arrived at the hotel expecting to have a similar room to the last time we came. Well that wasn’t to be!! It’s a basic room with a king sized bed. Wine stains on the carpet. I went to reception to see what could be done as we are really disappointed. Only to be told that’s what you’ve booked nothing can be done about it. We wanted to make this an annual trip, well I can tell you I won’t be coming to this hotel again, nor will I be spending a penny whilst I’m here. 3 nights we have booked for such a shame! Last time we had a king sized bed, a sofa balcony and a corner bath to mention a few. This time no balcony, no sofa, and a standard sized bath. No staff around. Arrived at reception to check in and found no one there and I had to ring a mobile number to let them know I’d arrived. Went to use the pool, no staff member to let us in. Rang the buzzer no one came, luckily a member was on hand and he allowed us access. Such a shame to go from a fantastic stay last time to not wanting to come back again. Sort yourselves and your hotel out!

We have previously stayed here and had a lovely time however this time it seemed as though the staff had given up. The hotel itself appears to be going downhill, we were moved rooms three times as the rooms did not have heating, staff have forgotten how to smile and it feels as though it is an inconvenience that they have to deal with you, this was the same in the onsite bar.

Hungry-horrors Families - TripAdvisor review

We organised an important event for our family; a celebration of life for both our parents, following my Father’s funeral. We were so happy with our choice of venue. Everyone greatly appreciated the hospitality; especially the fabulous finger food buffet, which was fresh and delicious. They even organised tea/coffee and a selection of cakes for us. The bar staff were very good. The hotel helped us to arrange a SlideShow of a family photos onto screens and provided a Bluetooth speaker for our chosen music. All of the staff involved were helpful and polite. Our immediate family enjoyed a lovely meal in the Carter & Fitch restaurant afterwards, which was amazing. The service was outstanding. Two members of our family stayed overnight and said both the room and breakfast were excellent.
