Great location, a stone throw away from Malioboro

The hotel is located a block away from Malioboro. So it is not effected by road closure on the pedestrian part of Malioboro. It is convenient for traveller who drive. The hotel is small but sufficient and effective. Staff are polite and did their job well. Check in and out were brief. However, breakfast area needs more staffs because buffet area is closed down and staffs need to serve food to all guests.

Terrible receptionist, bad service, no meet our expectations at all.. we stay with a baby, but they give us smoking room.. We request to clean up our room when we go, until we came back there’s nothing different and the front desk said “in queue”, but when the cleaning service came up they said “it was missed by receptionist” what the hell!!!

I came to hotel around 07.30 p.m local time, no body temperature check in lobby area. security just playing their own phone so bad for first experienced. Check in was good, handle by Manager. some staff only in the back counter i meant back office. The room was good bit dirty but i cant handle it. Ammenities is good, wrap by plastic bag their know about Hygiene during Covid-19 Pandemic. AC was good running smoothly. When i going down in lobby around 01.00 a.m The staff doesnt stand by in lobby. i have to look around and find them. I asked security about parking space he didnt answer me just IGNORED me and playing his own phone i dont know maybe playing game. So dissapointed. The Pool was good at the rooftop no body standby in there. The breakfast just average. i came to cafe at 07.00 a.m but the breakfast NOT ready aswell. still prepare, finally i have waiting them. I stayed here because close with Malioboro Street. but if you asked me for my return visit. sorry i cant. Recomemnded for Room Price but not for services.

to Malioboro we can walk and the location is not too far away, the facilities are quite good and the staff are also friendly and helpful to guests. Room cleanliness should be paid more attention and not much breakfast variation

Not a pleasant experience with IBIS Styles Yogyakarta.. Our room had a slippery toilet where the water flow from the shower area to the toilet and we nearly slip. The towels smells and the deodorant sprayed in the room hurts my nostril.

The room is large enough. Strategic location. Great view and food at the sky bar. Would like to stay at this hotel again next time. Facilities at the room are good. The food at the restaurant for breakfast could have been better though. Sometime we can hear the sound from the rooms next to us.

Leaking bathrooms, non-working fridge and a chef who did not think I knew how to recognize Lasagna! Staff apologize profusely but take no action! Advertise Lasagna but served me two pancakes!!! When I refused to take this they offered it free!! I am not having free pancakes***. When I requested milk for coffee they served a watered down version when I had to ask is this milk? The room was across a cross road which meant all the noise to add to the brgain. ACCOR brand is slowly eroding which is a shame which means.....

Check in went smoothly, the very friendly receptionist even recognized me from last time. Room was comfortable, clean, spacious. Bathroom great, I feel sorry for the housekeepers to clean the shower, since the floor outside the showecabin gets wet as well since it is half open. Breakfast was included, western bfast stule was mediocre, while Indonesian dishes were outstanding. I only have one negative comment, at around 11 am I was called by housekeeping (do not disturb still hanging outside my door) they asked me if i had laundry and when they could make up my room. After a longhaul flight, i was still sleeping at this time. This unrequested wake up call was very disturbing. Why call if i do not want to be disturbed. Night rest is currently disturbed in the early morning, because of morning prayers from the mosque at the other side of the road. I stayed 4 nights, and was woken up around 4 am each morning because of the loud prayers.

Everything was great during our stay in Ibis Styles Yogyakarta. In particular breakfast is very tasty (especially Indonesian buffet!). Also the rooftop bar was a great place! The hotel has reasonable prices for rooms.

I love to say at this hotel. The staffs are helpful and care. Need variety of breakfast. I've been staying for seven nights and feel a bit bored for the food of breakfast. Special note to the laundry: please look after the cloth more to be clean and smooth ironing. Special note to the house keeping: please keep the blanket clean properly. Over all: I love it. I'll be back, for sure.

Having stayed at this hotel 4 years ago, we looked forward to staying here again. Unfortunately, this property has not been well maintained and is badly in need of renos. We upgraded to plus, but sadly, this only provided a bathtub, instead of only a shower (which we actually would have preferred). The room had a terrible musty smell of which we notified the front desk immediately. They responded quickly by sending someone up with a can of spray room deodorizer. My husband had difficulty breathing and had to use an inhaler during each night of our stay, which he never does as a rule. We would have left had we not prepaid our 4 night stay. The room was not well maintained...stains on the walls, dirty carpets in the halls. The roof top pool/lounge area which we so enjoyed on previous stays was now occupied by a group of young male servers who continuously played incredibly offensive "gangster rap" which was loaded with horrible language and violent imagery! The area looked unkempt, worn and dirty, although the actual pool was still very nice. We could only stay long enough for a brief swim. The breakfast experience was also a disappointment. There was so little staff in the dining room during the busiest times of day that they were absolutely run off their feet and it was difficult to get a specialty coffee, which they had to make. The salad and fruit bar was not once fully stocked during our stay. The foods on the hot bar were often cold and not frequently restocked. All in all, a sad state of affairs! The restaurant was empty in the evenings and there were few staff on duty. We did stop in for a pizza one night, which was surprisingly good. The front desk staff were lovely! They went out of their way to help us on every occasion, including getting our cell phone sorted out. Overall, however, we cannot recommend this hotel any longer. There are much better options in Yogyakarta which are also better value. Grab and Go make transportation so easy, that you can stay anywhere in the city and still get around for very little, so no need to be right near Maliaboro any longer.

Booked 2 rooms with 2 single bed on each room for 3 nights. Was given 1 double bed each room. Was told confirmation was 1 double bed although I present my email confirmation was single bed. Bedroom 416 has a broken safety latch inside.

Only 10 minutes by becak to Malioboro Street

This hotel is located at Jalan Degan Malioboro. It's only take 10 minutes by becak to Malioboro Street. Breakfast is just okay. Check in and check out is fast. They have swimming pool on the top which is great.

The rooms and hotel is a run down and outdated, but it's cheap. the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Only 5 minutes walk from main shopping area & malioboro mall. Amazing view from the sky bar. However the attention to customer service in this hotel was the worst I have encountered in all of Indonesia, or any country. Firstly I should say that the staff were always very kind and friendly, but every single time I was at the restaurant or sky bar I would spend so much time waiting for the staff because they would disappear or be in another place talking to each other. I could understand if they were busy but most of the time they were just sitting around not paying any attention to the guests. Every single time I waited 15-20 minutes for the bill or to make my order.

I've stayed at Ibis Styles Yogyakarta on many occasions. The staff are friendly , breakfast is a good selection and I enjoy the sky bar & pool area on the roof. It's located close to the Main Street, so no issues in access to the atmosphere of Yogyakarta!

Room very clean room and hotel...staff all very friendly....very good breakfast.....great swimming pool on 7th floor...with bar and great views of Jogyakarta...close to shopping...bathroom small but workable.......

The service so nice and professional. There was no more deluxe room as booked, and ibis style upgraded to family room with free of charge. It has big space and bath tube. The swimming pool and roof top were fascinating as well. Breakfast was served with a lot of choices. Location is very near to malioboro.

Excellent Service but Old Accommodation

I score 3 out 5 because I have a mix feeling about this hotel. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel condition is very old dated to my liking and it has a strange smells. With another Rp.100-150K (or AUD$10-15) extra you will get a much better newer hotel. The breakfast is ok. The location is ok too, you can walk to Malioboro Main Street about 10-15 min but remember that the weather is pretty humid, so you feel like you have been walking much longer. At the end you won't go to Malioboro all the time, so staying in another hotel further is very ok because you will go by car.
