I prefer modern vs traditional hotel, but really great location

It's one of not really pleasant stay, coz there's lots of events happened that weekend so make the hotel so crowded and my room not yet ready when I checked-in so I must waited also I cannot used the swimming pool because of the event, and my expectation after stay at M Gallery solo with spacious room this one is very small room, the shower not function so well too like not maintained well, and there's some ants in the desk. But the locations is good very near to some famous tourist spot in Yogya. So if you life traditional hotel this one is for you just make sure there's any event when you stay.

All of the room here are maintained regularly. However we have taken note of your comments regarding the lapse of services. We do really appreciate it and will work to fix what lack from our service. Wonderful trip back to one of my favorite hotels in this troubling time. Still a majestic hotel very safe for COVID. Limited food options but that there were delicious. Very nice check and check out experience.

(+) The hotel staffs were very friendly and excellent service. I really love the ambience of the hotel and it was very clean, and they ask us about the rapid test also. (-) still need improve on the menu and taste of the food

Have several stays before, the accomodation quality is very well maintained and the service is not decreasing even during pandemi. Yes they don't offer any buffet breakfast, but the ala carte definitely above expectation. Their room upgrading service event getting more personalized, they will surely note your preference. A hotel that does not deserve mgallery title. Historical yet not well maintained, dust everywhere, super small sink, low quality pillow, dirty bathroom. Fortunately, it was cheap (500,000 rupiah per night), otherwise it should be a 3 star hotel.

Good BUT...

We arrive at the check-in time, nonetheless there was no room available and we had to wait for more than a hour in the bar with our welcome drinks. Nice staff but they could not do much more than that. Or could they? Obviously running full house we were given an upgraded room on third floor with pool view. That was good. BAD part was the transportation from the hotel to the Adisucipto Airport. Just straight on Sudirman and Adisucipto street then a turn on right. The taxi waiting there at the hotel (Blue bird group) first did not want to put meter. When asked to, instead of a 35k rupiah 7km basically straight ride decided (setting the meter) to divert towards north (we just had to go west) and then he took a big circular street. 40m on board for a 20' ride according to googlemaps at that time.

Hotel is approx 30mins from the airport. Taxi 100k IDR. Breakfast is best meal of the day, dinner was a themed buffet on each of the 3 nights we stayed and the ale-cart menu was very limited. get a second key so that you can leave the AC on when you are out.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Phoenix Hotel. The staff are amazing. My partner is a celiac and he was so well looked after by all the staff - especially Chef Risman. A truly beautiful place to stay.

I had a late check in , simple words should be natural and no simply PASSAPORTS!!!, no welcoming !!! The check in took a long time ,and the room arranged was so far from the lobby (room 567 ) although my disabilities , as a ACCOR MEMBER , I do not have any facility , no e-mail answer , neither someone to improve my stay , unfortunately is a hotel that I will not come back

We stayed for 3 nights before heading to Malaysia. Yogyakarta is amazing and the staff from the hotel are all brilliant. Shame I couldn’t use my Burn4Stay since the hotellink website was not working. Despite that we felt welcomed and we made the most of our stay. Breakfast is really good with different options that change almost everyday.

The room is big, nice and clean. The hotel staff is friendly. The environment is relaxed and homey. The food is great. Location is good, near with train station and bank mandiri. The bar and lounge is good. There is billiard table. It will nice if in the bar also equiped with dartboard. The flat screen in the room is too small.

The title of my review says it all. This hotel is excellent in all aspects. The staff are friendly and efficient. All are very polite and extremely well trained in providing a high level of service. The hotel is like a palace and the rooms are excellent in terms of size, furnishing and decoration. I really didn’t want to leave!

Property is colonial, nice. Room dated. Food is way below standards. Cooks are not well trained. Especially the junior ones. Spa air conditioning not working but they still offer the service. Should Ensure that all facilities are working before receiving customers. Overall, disappointing.

1. A lovely boutique hotel with perfect blend of colonial and Javanese styles. 2. The hotel may be a little far from the Malioboro street, but Grab and Taxi are readily available. 3. The internet Wi-Fi was fast and seamless coverage for the whole hotel. 4. The hotel's employees are friendly, courteous and helpful. However, English may be limited to some of the non-front line employee though. 5. Excellent breakfast. I tried their buffet dinner (different theme everyday) - "Indonesian Feast", food not bad but the choice may be limited. No free flow of drink except water was provided, drinks need to be paid, which is a let down though. 6. Stayed here for three nights, got free room upgrade due to booking from Accor Hotels site.

Vacation with friends. The hotel is centrally located, about 4km from the kraton. The hotel premises are vintage early 1900. Beautifully restored and well kept. The pool is beautiful and relaxing. I’d definetely come back to this hotel!
